F*cking Imperial system.

I had a huge drama here because some dumbass decided to take an order made in Metric system and ship stuff in Imperial. This ties with my peeve of me not being Jesus and thus not been willing to pay for other people's stupidity.

Just the same way I have to use english to comunicate with them they have to use metric (as requested several times in all requisitions regarding the order) to fulfill the order as it was agreed upon.

Long story short this was the last time I do bussiness with a US supplier for anything that requires mesurements (this isn't the first time something like this happens, but one of many and certainly the worst.) Long live my new European suppliers who adhere to the SI and who helped me solve this freaking mess by making a swift shipment of the materials.

The force is weak with this one.

My pet peeve: Feeling useless at work. I got converted from contractor to full-timer, comes with benefits and everything, but I'm not getting any more responsibility. I'm not doing anything that a contractor doesn't do, so I feel like they could replace me at any moment. I think it's mostly a matter of circumstance; I was hired onto a team that didn't need anything more than contractors, whereas the others being converted were put on a team that did. I'm biding my time, waiting for a new team to be assembled for a new project. I think I've got a pretty good lead on one, and I should find out within the coming weeks, but it sucks feeling interchangeable.

I've just got to learn to stop making Jello if I'm going to fall asleep right after I start.

I caught myself at first last night trying to nap after I started the Jello, so I played some Monster Tale, poked around YouTube and did some other stuff....

and then went to be. Now the Lime Jello is frozen solid and being left out to thaw. What state it goes to from there, I'm not entirely sure, but its probably a mix of watery, icy and jello-y.

Sort of unrelated but I do have a friend who accidentally ordered 1km of network cable for work. He thought that he would get lengths of cable totalling up to 1km and thought it would be a great deal but instead is was literally a huge drum with 1km of network cable wrapped around it.

It took him a year to finally get rid of all of it

Been growing my nails out for the purpose of getting back into guitar and this time learning to fingerpick on acoustic.

There are some other benefits to doing this, I've found. One is its a surefire way to get out of biting/chewing them off, which is the long standing bad habit. Another bad habit is rubbing my eyes aggressively to get foreign objects out, it forces me to play more gentle. Filing has actually relieved that awkward and sometimes painful callous that develops under my left and right thumbnails from playing too much Super Street Fighter IV 3DS. I also find ATM touch screens more responsive now when I poke it with the nail rather than the skin of the finger..

What's going to take some getting used to is typing. That and finding the length/shape that's just right, along with the filing, buffing, using hardener, learning the tolerate the smell of polish and such. And managing the dirt that gets beneath them so easy.

And all this to just play guitar again, along with getting out of the habit of using guitar picks which I just lose anyway. I always liked the alien-headed ones that glowed in the dark. I'd never lose those.

Actually, I think things like pens, styluses, keys and generally anything that is easy to lose should be made to glow in the dark on principle. Just imagine all the people that would stop chewing on pens and if they glowed in the dark.

The man that I was willing to give up just about anything for, who I loved with my whole being, wants nothing to do with me.
The man that I'm sort of interested in and would like to see where things might go, seems to be mostly ambivalent.
The man that I'm not interested in at all and feel nothing but friendship towards keeps trying to get all up on me.

I'm joining a fucking convent.

Hey, don't feel bad.

Most women I'm attracted to are already happily married. Pretty much a deal breaker.

The woman I'd give anything to be with dates only within her own race. She's not racist, though, ir just her hard preference (or a second generation Japanese family pressure deal, which is more likely - my stepfather is Japanese, he got nothing but shit from his family for marrying my mother). So we will only ever be friends.. So sad face to that.

The women I want nothing to do with throw themselves at me and then want me to do all the thinking for them, at least for a bit, before turning out to be mildly psychotic, controlling, racist bitches that are into guns and keep knives under their pillow and cut themselves for stress relief.

I've not yet given up hope, though the bad ones keep me away from dating for months when they happen. Hard to stay open with people when they all turn out crazy.

Seems to be a problem for both genders. Personally I like to think that 95% of people aren't fit for relationships, and a good chunk of those are assholes on top of that. Either way, good luck with your future romances.

Haha, thank you. I think with guy #2, I just need to talk to him. And guy #3, for that matter. And guy #1 ... well I told him I can't see him as a friend anymore until the hurt goes away (if it ever does) but I still wish he'd just be like "fuck it I made a mistake can we be together?"

I can solve 2 and 3, at least. Well, sort of. But that just means the cycle will repeat with some other guys. For now maybe I should just enjoy casual (yet protected) sex and just nail my heart in some ironclad safe somewhere.
