Really I'm beating myself up over this too because I'd considered parking it at my friend's house but then I realized I didn't feel the need to waste the gas because I figured it'd be fine, as I said, I frigging live here so I have a right to park my truck for a week if I need to. Checked the lease, nothing against that in there. If it was towed for any reason that wasn't listed on the lease, oh I'm going to raise a holy flying bitch fit.

I'm just seriously praying it wasn't stolen, if it was, I'll never see it again.

Oh well, off to the bed again to lie down and stare at the ceiling some more and maybe drift off for a few hours, alarm to wake me up at 8AM so I can call these bitches at the apartment complex first thing, if they didn't tow it, then I get to file a police report. Please anyone who prays toss a quick "Oh btw God could you like hook Aksannyi up man she's got it hard enough already, the last thing she needs is her vehicle gone forever."

Okay, called the towing company. It's gonna be $356 to get my truck back. And they will not give me any sort of discount even with proof I was out of town, which to be honest, is a load of fucking crap, though when I get there, I'm going to unload on them. This is bullshit.

This is proof that I can't do anything positive in my life without getting shit on. :/

No, apparently ... and I just found this out ... my tag was expired. In Florida, it expires on your birthday, not a year from when you get it like in other states. I had gotten it in April so I figured I had until April. Well, I didn't.

And they put a 24-hour warning sticker that my truck was going to be towed. On Wednesday the 2nd at 3PM. I left the house that morning at 4:30 AM. I showed the guy at the towing place my tickets and itinerary and he still wouldn't lower the cost. What. A. Douchenozzle. Paying the tag wasn't the problem, in fact that was much easier. I'm just pissed that on top of the fact that nowhere in my lease does it say I can be towed for having an expired tag (I just checked), I'm responsible to pay for something that I wasn't even around to take care of. That's bullshit. And I left my truck there to avoid paying out the ass as I would have if I'd parked at the airport. This is what I get for getting a ride and trying to save money. Yay! Aksannyi got bent over and fucked in the ass today!

So yeah, I took a 4.4 mile walk to the towing company because everyone else is at goddamn work, and I paid two weeks worth of unemployment to get my truck back. In cash. Because if they had taken charge, my dad was going to put his card number on it and pay it for me, as it is, now my dad is going to send me that money via check to help me out because I definitely could not afford that extra cost on top of everything else. And I hated having to ask him for more money because of the thousands (seriously) I've borrowed in the past ten years.

I sincerely hope the universe finds a new plaything. This one is getting pretty worn and tattered.

It's probably not related to where you live (IE, not related to your lease agreement), but I think it's more likely a result of police strolling by and check it. Although, it was my understanding that it's only illegal to drive with an expired plate. Then again, it might be the local parking enforcement going all trigger happy, but still...

I'm not entirely sure on it, myself. I do think it has to do with the apartment complex. Imagine if I had a house and they towed my truck out of my driveway ... I don't think they can do that kind of shit.

Pretty sure the cops weren't involved because they would have ticketed me so the money goes in their pocket, not some Joe Schmoe's towing company.

But I tell you one thing, gonna get some land, fence it in, and invest in a tow truck. $356 for doing what, 20 minutes of actual work? Yeah, that'll be a nice side business.

Automated systems that insist on telling me ten minutes of useless information before allowing me something as simple as a fucking check of my balance.

I don't need to know what your website is (it says it on the card, thanks, I'm not a retard), I don't need to know about your new "donate to X" program, I don't need to know that you're changing something for your New York residents, I don't need to know anything other than my fucking balance.

Please stop keeping me on the phone for several minutes longer than necessary for me to retrieve the actual information I came to seek.

And all of this would have been moot if your fucking website wasn't down, but that's another beef entirely.
