I work in a Diagnostic imaging dept and you'd be shocked to hear what some of these Xray techs have encountered shoved into different body orifices... the stories the people come up with to justify said emergency are priceless.

Reminds me of some Church Records from England in roughly the 12th-13th century. Basically there ARE records of priests interviewing parishioners to see if they are following the Bible correctly and make anyone caught doing something wrong or anyone who confesses pays the correct penance. I will list some genuine questions from these records that priests had to ask their parishioners (read: mostly 20-something married couples):

Have you ever had sex outside of your home?
Have you ever had sex on church grounds?
Have you ever had sex inside a church?

What makes this hilarious is that you know that Priests had heard this sort of things often enough in Confessional for Bishops to have their priests ask their parishioners this sort of crap

Getting sick from taking care of someone who's sick! I've had another SHITTY ASS week!! First my mother in law falls down and breaks her ankle with the bones jutting out through the skin. So hubby has to up and leave to go to MI to take care of things. (His sisters are great but I'm still irritated that between the 4 sisters and one brother that no one can help out...my husband has to travel there to do it.)

Then my mother comes down with pneumonia yet again and asks my cousin (who lives across the street) to take her to the emergency room. Well my cousin thought it was horrible that one of her daughters didn't do it and made a scene on Facebook. Well my mother called us right before my cousin got to the house to take her and told us she was going in and not to come take her even when we insisted. By the time we would have gotten there she would be gone! So big family drama on Facebook....nothing new there. lol

Then my son who's always had lung issues since he was born gets deathly sick and I had to do my nurse routine with him. He scared me so badly when he'd get coughing fits and his lips would turn blue. (Being an adult I can not force him to go to the hospital either.) Now we are both sick huddled together on the couch under blankets shivering......YAY....what a shitty ass week....

Here at work, my beverage of choice tends to be iced tea. In our breakroom, we have a restaurant-style coffee maker which also dispenses hot water, we have an ice machine, tea bags of many varieties, sugar, three kinds of artificial sweetener, hot chocolate packets, and probably other stuff I'm forgetting.

I make my iced tea by brewing tea & pouring it into a 32-oz cup filled with ice. I've figured out just the right number of tea bags & sugar packets & the right amount of hot water to fill my cup perfectly (along with the lemon juice I bring from home). I use a pyrex measuring cup to brew my tea, to prepare/eat my oatmeal, or to prepare/eat instant soups (soup not so often - but it comes in handy now and then). I use the measuring cup both so I can measure the water accurately, and so I'm not wasting styrofoam cups every day.

This arrangement pleases me.

I was just in the breakroom pouring hot water over the five tea bags in my measuring cup, when an annoying busybody co-worker came in for coffee or something.

Her: DAYYYYAM, Girl! What the heck are you doing?

Me: Making tea. What does it look like I'm doing?

Her: Why are you using so many tea bags? That looks really strong.

Me: I'm making iced tea. I need the tea to be strong since I'm pouring it over a lot of ice. If it's not strong, the melting ice dilutes the tea.

Her: Wow - I hope that's decaffeinated.

Me: *combination head tilt, weird look*

She's pulled stuff like this with me before. Today, I gave up on the idea of sounding polite when responding. I really hope my tone of voice came across as "what kind of idiot can't figure out I'm making tea if I'm pouring hot water over tea bags?"

Look, bitch. What I eat, when I eat it (she's previously made snide-sounding comments about me making/eating oatmeal after 11am), what I drink, or how I make it is NONE OF YOUR FUCKING BUSINESS. Yes - I eat my meals on a different schedule than you do. Who the fuck cares? Just keep your snide tone of voice to yourself.

The custodian lady who refills stuff in the breakroom & cleans up after people who make messes was in the room at the time. When annoying busybody lady left the room, I made a face behind her back -- the custodian lady got a good laugh out of the whole thing.

We got tasked with destroying some old documents - or at least prepping them to be destroyed by the company that comes weekly to pick up our shredding. This involves taking the paper clips off and taking them out of the file folders.

Asked the contact person here to call the company and ask if they can take the stuff out of the folders/paper clips. For us. Are you fucking kidding me. Goddamn, be glad we don't have to take out all the staples and shred this shit ourselves. For fuck's sake.

She does shit like this all time time. We have to sort work before we actually put it into the system/check it, so she'll sit around fucking around with her e-mail while one of us (read: temps) sorts the work then grab a couple piles of sorted work to enter it in, effectively skipping the harder part of the job. And she constantly begs this guy to do lifting for her ... dude, this shit is not that heavy, and if you're gonna be lazy, at least ask one of us other girls to do it so you can like, not make the female portion look like weak pieces of shit.
