I can't deal with driving in rush hour, too annoying.

I can't deal with non rush hour drivers. See, rush hour drivers are professional drivers and for the most part can be ok. I do not label college students as professional drivers however... I label them as people who woke up at 7:50 and are trying to make the hour drive before their class at 8:00. It's the people outside of rush hour, the ones who merge onto the freeway going 30mph because going slow is "safe" ad nausem etc etc.

As for the Dixie Chicks, I'm fine with their opinion. My issue with them is that as I recall, they made their little public plurb during one of their concerts. Now granted I was not there, but if I was I'd be a bit pissed. I'm paying money to listen to them perform, and for whatever else comes with the show, within reason, not to hear their political views. That is about as far as my beef with them goes. That being said, I think the backlash against them was absurd and far out of line. If you're that unhappy with them just ask for a blasted refund on your ticket and walk out of the show, or stop buying their CDs or something, death threats and whatnot however? Way out of line.

Morons. I love my country, and I am all for being a patriot, but BLIND UNTHINKING patriotism is fucking terrifying.

This, a thousand times this. It was to the point around here where you did not want to say anything against the war or else you'd either be in a world of hurt or facing a lynch mob practically because you were not "patriotic" Last I heard we were allowed to have differing opinions. But I frankly see that alot with people who classify themselves as liberals. They're fine with diversity and new ideas, if these ideas and diversity conform to the liberal's views, otherwise damn you to hell and back.

While you did not say it, it is rather obvious that, and I'll make a generalization here, it is popular to blame just about everything on Bush.

I just don't think its an entertainer's place to make disrespectful comments toward a president. If anything, it should be supportive.

At a supposedly music concert, I will agree with you. Outside, on their own business, entertainers have a right to their views and opinions just like everyone else.

Which does bring up an interesting question. I'm irked at the Dixie Chicks for airing their political views, how would I feel if they had made a song along the same lines?

All well. Wherever it goes from here, what will be will be. Still have reservations about telling my family, but at least somebody out there knows now besides the 38,164 subscribers to FFXIonline.com.

In all seriousness I'm glad it went well and I think you're probably taking the right attitude to this. I'm very glad that the first person you told gave you a positive response. Just keep in mind where there is one there will be more.

Where are you guys pulling this idea that musicians need to keep their politics separate from their musical career? Did you all just entirely miss the 60s and 70s? What of Woodstock? Musicians have been tied in with politics for a very long time now, this is nothing new or surprising or reprehensible.

I am not a fan of the way my phone will randomly dial people all the time. It has a screen lock, but it's not exactly difficult to accidentally turn that off. :/

I've been phantomed dialed by friends in the past. Most of the time it hangs up right as it connects. However, there has been one instance where it remained connected for about 5 minutes.

About 8 of us work in a room about ... 20 by 30 feet. Give or take, I'm not great at estimating. You get the idea, though. So there's this one "higher up" who works in the very back, and instead of having her own office, she just has a huge section of the room. I don't care about that, what I do care about is that she never ever takes any of her phone calls without speaker phone. Annoying!

I've been phantomed dialed by friends in the past. Most of the time it hangs up right as it connects. However, there has been one instance where it remained connected for about 5 minutes.

About every other week or so this happens with my sisters phone and I get a call. I'll actually just sit and listen for a few minutes seeing if she hears me as a go "Hellllloooooooooo?" But I usually give up after three minutes of that.

If your new employer gives you one of these pieces of shit, (give them a dirty look and then) set up it up so that Comdata direct deposits your money to a real bank account, because you'll get phantom fees for checking your card balance and just about any transaction you do with it. The only time it will ever prompt you about a fee is when you're doing an ATM cash withdrawl

Fuck that shit. I'm glad it was only $2 I lost from this and that I didn't start casually using it everywhere.
