Bought some new speakers over the weekend to replace the ones that were on the fritz. These Logitech Z523 speakers hum like crazy.
Now I'm going to have to return them and pull out my emergency backup speakers(a third set, yes) again. They crackle when I change the volume but at least they don't hum like power generator when they idle.
Most of it is trash, but that's most music these days. Rappers and singers don't write their own lyrics, produce their own music, or have real identities. They have ridiculously fake identities like Hulk Hogan, Ray Mysterio, etc; they're whatever looks cool, sounds good, or makes money. They've turned music into an industry.
I find hating things to be very exhausting. Like those people who "hate" certain kinds of music so they intentionally look for music videos on YouTube just to leave comments that they hate that kind of music. Too much effort to put into something you don't like.
If you ask me if I hate rap music, I will tell you am very indifferent towards it. The kind of rap that I am most exposed to, if at all, is the kind is on the radio (or booming off somebody else's radio, in which case I'll hate the driver. The music is innocent of any wrongdoing.) And I'm sure that whatever I'm hearing on the radio doesn't even scratch the surface of better rap music.
Music elitists...whatever they are...come in all stripes. I once read a rant by a classical music fan who felt that orchestrating video game music for the concert experience was a waste of time and pandering to pop culture.
1) It does not make you cool to hate pop culture.
2) SquareEnix's Symphonic Fantasies says "NO U!"
I hate that my boobs hurt, and it's not even that time of the month yet. I really don't want to wear my fucking bra to bed.
For a less womanly peeve, I'm really annoyed by the asstards who pull out in front of me and then turn a few yards later - usually just after I've regained the speed I was going right before they popped out. So they've effectively made me slow down twice for them. Bonus points for assholery if there was no one behind me when they cut me off.
Seriously. All forms of art and entertainment are completely subjective. If they are popular enough to be produced, that means there is a market for it. And every genre (and really, Rap Music is a pretty damn broad genre) is going to have stuff you'll like and stuff you don't, and stuff that falls in between.
I hate when I buy new shoes that I have been wanting for a while, only to find that they hurt my feets. Now I have to return them, which sucks, because the price was pretty good for what I thought I was getting.
