Wow this brought back memories. You have every right to your feelings and the right to express them to her and hope for an explanation. She probably doesn't want to explain it because that was just the opening volley, she's already made up her mind she doesn't want to be with you.

I dated a mortician when I was young. Kind of a "lets marry her off" thing by my family. On my birthday, we were to announce our engagement to his family (my family knew). Being young, I was infatuated with being in love, getting married, ...........and getting the f**k away from my family. Well, as I was getting ready for the big party with his family, he stopped by to tell me that an old g/f had come back into his life and he had been dating her for the past couple of months. So he can't marry me and he's really sorry but I'm too young and his family would never understand. And that was at the ripe age of 18, AND I was engaged at the age of 13 too. Kind of gives you a view of what my family is like. lol

Meh, I don't know. I'd say most crushes are pretty harmless. Like I have a crush on Kenny Chesney, but my guy's not really threatened by it. (My ex-husband was, but that's another story, and one of the many reasons he is my ex.) It's what you do with a crush. Do you try to get with this person? Or do you just admire them from afar? And some things I've read show that having a crush can actually spice your own relationship up, because that euphoric rush you get can carry with you when you go home to your loved one. But it does depend if it's just a "omg, he's so damn cute!!!!" or a "hey, wanna do something this weekend?"

Birthday's a shitty time to bring that up. Really, any time is a shitty time to bring that up. I see random people all the time that I think are cute, but that doesn't mean I want to jump in the sack with them. For me, it's appreciation of a bit of eye candy and nothing more.

Well the thing is, her parents hate me and told her to never talk to me again, which resulted in her only really talking or texting me when nobody is looking, or at like 2:30am or something close. There really has not been much effort made into keeping things going from her end, and bringing up that she has a crush on someone else kind of increases my suspicion. I've done everything I could for her, from paying for mostly everything to being there every single time she needed me, I guess after a while it sort of gets taken for granted.

Internet hugs are better than no hugs at all xD And thank you, I appreciate it. Woot at being 20, 1 more year until I can legally drink in the states, though up here in Canada it's legal at 18. xD

Relevant tangent: Why do I stare at girls' boobs? Because they frame them so nicely. And stare carries such a negative connotation, what I'm doing is more along the lines of appreciation. I'd say, "If you didn't want me to appreciate them then you'd cover them up," but I'd probably appreciate them anyways.

One of my friends told me he frowns upon staring at other women when he has a girlfriend, and I asked him how could anybody in that position not? How could any man never look at another women appreciatively? I probably couldn't stop myself if I tried, but I don't sweat. I'm more than faithful to my loved one and I would never do anything beyond look. Where's the harm?

I had a friend back in highschool that once used the phrase "Nice Chain" when looking at a chick who had nice boobs and a small chain which fell between her cleavage. She obviously didn't get it and thought he was admiring her chain. Eventually we all used the phrase when admiring "Chains" whether there was a chain around a girl's neck or not.
