So my fire sort of blew up (it's a long, boring and complex story) and right now I have no heating and I mean NO heating and haven't had any for about 4 months now (another long, boring and complex story) which wasn't a huge problem till about 3 weeks ago but right now I'm freezing my ass off.

I have so many blankets on my bed at the moment that getting up is done very carefully, in stages and I keep burning myself cooking and washing up because I can't feel the heat until I've already burned myself.

I find that funny, cuz one of my peeves atm is even though my AC works, it smells funky, but its soooooo worth it. Luckily my room mate bought an air filter that seems to do wonders.

I got a hot one today

Fedex dropped off my package today on the front porch >.> . I know what everybody is thinking "Why didn't you check off the hold for signature?" I figured somebody would be at home, and then too I dont think the form had a place for that on there. I don't live in the best neighborhood so if the idiot who dropped it off would've been smart, he would've left it at the back porch instead of the front porch. So there will be a compliaint filed whether the package is there or not when my parents get home in about 25 mins.

Normally I wouldn't think anything of it but last year my mom had ordered some stuff from QVC and it was stolen off of the front porch. My mom never got it and when she called QVC asking where it was, they said they sent it out. UPS said they dropped it off on the porch so they ended up having to eat one up.

EDIT: It was there when they got there like 10 mins ago along with 2 other packages that came Priority Mail lol.

I don't even live in a bad neighborhood and this happens a lot to me. So much so that now the post office, UPS, and FedEx all have a standing order that no packages are ever to be left on my doorstep. I live right on a corner so I have maximum exposure too I guess. This is how the whole ball of DON'T LEAVE STUFF ON MY DOORSTEP got started. With my medical insurance some of my meds must be delivered through the mail. Well I take pain pills daily and my insurance company sends me THREE MONTHS supply at once. So....can you guess what happens when they leave a HUGE FRIGGING BOTTLE OF PAIN PILLS on my doorstep?? Honestly how stupid. Then top it off with I'm out of pain pills and they don't want to give me any because I SHOULD have 3 months supply..........but I don't. Then the absolute HELL I had to go through to finally be able to get a refill. I understand that they don't know if I'm telling the truth or not and over something this important. I don't mind them questioning it. What angers me is WHY SEND OUT SOMETHING THIS IMPORTANT WITHOUT ASKING FOR A SIGNATURE UPON DELIVERY!? Medications! Seriously?? I never ever have to sign for my medications. They are just stuffed in there and left. And they don't come in a box either, they are just in a thin plastic bag thats a little more sturdy than a bag you'd put your groceries in.

Oh yeah! They should most definently have medication as a sign to receive. Or at least put it somewhere inconspicuous in a designated spot where nobody would see it. Our old UPS guy used to put the packages inside the garage if nobody was at home to sign for it which was awesome. Funny thing is I know a couple of times the new UPS guy didn't deliver the package because nobody signed for it. When my dad would get home and see the sticker, he pretty much knew the UPS route and he'd catch the UPS guy stopped somewhere and get the package.

I wasn't really paying any attention to the pace of the day until a friend mentioned that the work day was still hours from being done and it was going slowly, since that point space-time has slowed to a crawl and the last 16 minutes have lasted a lifetime.

I've been trying to wean myself off Soda since It became a bad habit, i had a serious caffeine addiction and i would drink half a fridge pack a day. So all of a sudden out of pure willpower a few days ago i stopped drinking it because its just not good for my health in the long run, and man im going insane, its like trying to stop smoking all of a sudden, i wouldn't know the feeling because i never smoked. I've been following a coworkers advice and drinking like fizzy water to fool my brain into thinking it was soda or something like that, until i can slowly get off the stuff.

My manager who is in love with Soda is like "Wow, good luck to you, i sure as hell couldn't do it..."

Well I can tell you this, my son did it about 2 years ago too. He was just like you, he'd clear soda out of this house so fast I couldn't keep it stocked.......and I'm not even exaggerating. He'd drink a 24pk in 12 hours. Soda became a major food group in the house. We told him to knock it off so he tried to be sneaky about it but the funny thing is with the amounts he was drinking HOW COULD YOU BE SNEAKY!? What did someone break in and JUST DRINK OUR SODA?

Well now he's SO much happier. I had close brush with death a couple years ago and he stayed at my side and guess what......there was no soda! LOLOLOLOL But after I started to get better that gave him incentive to stay away from it and he did. So he's got his soda under control now. He'll occasionally have a diet caffiene free soda but thats about it. He mostly drinks Crystal Light drinks (only certain ones he's pretty picky), vitamin waters, 100% juices, milk, and water. He's lost a bit of weight from it too so its a win win situation.

There's a lot of good stuff you can drink that isn't bad for you. Crystal Lite is one of them; cherry pomegranate tastes like jello mix. Fuze is definately good, and so is Arizona Green tea. Though those two are on different sides of the spectrum when it comes to expense. Izze is good too, if you like fruit soda.

Seriously, fuck the US government. I just got off the phone with the Department of Education, regarding trying to get my defaulted student loans onto their loan rehabilitation program so that I can start working on getting back into school within my lifetime.

When they first called they were very nice about things, I explained that I currently make about $1600 a month with about $1400 a month in expenses, and I'm about to be laid off, but I would like to at least start paying $50 or so a month as a good-faith sign that I would like to start fixing this and avoid getting my wages garnished. That is, I made them an offer to pay them knowing full well that I will soon have no income, and knowing that they can't garnish my wages when I have none to garnish.

The guy says ok, well obviously you're going through some hard times, let me talk to my manager and see what we can do for you. The manager gets on, and says $260/month is the minimum, I can take it or not, and if I don't they're marking my account as 'unwilling to sign up for monthly payments'. Barring the fact that it would be fucking impossible to make those payments while I am working, which I already said, I went out of my way to make an offer to them despite the fact that I'm in real danger of being evicted from my apartment in 2-3 months should I be unable to find a job, especially in our currently fantastic job market. They basically told me to go get fucked. I seriously don't know how these people go home and sleep at night.

Fuck those tools in another way, as well, because my fucking GI Bill check that was supposed to be here on the 5th is still not here yet. Yay, I love starving because I don't have any money, and walking because I don't have any gas.

Since we're talking about money, Fuck the IRS. I still haven't got my Stimulus and I'm probably not gonna get it either. I'd better get a $600 tax credit next year >.>
