Women do the same with men but there is a difference between appreciating and having a crush. Having a crush usually means that there is some contact, they've spoken, partners in a class project, or know one another from work etc. That can lead to imagining being with that person, especially for a woman. (Not always sexually either. Women think in terms of dinner, a walk in the park, a picnic, etc.) Yes, that can be quite harmless too but, in the case that brought this up, they are apart, its difficult to even communicate, so then that isn't such a good thing to be doing. Women and men think differently. Women are more apt to romanticize the person thats caught their eye where a guy is more two dimensional. lol It all depends on the individual relationship and how strong it is.

Eh, whatever her crush is, it has me worried honestly. I hate the distance, and since her parents hate me, and the complete lack of communication other than her sneaking behind their backs to text me on occasion, her telling me she's got a crush on someone else made me a bit more upset than if everything were to be going in a better direction. There have been a few trust issues in the past as well, which pretty much leads me to believe that things will not last very much longer.

Anyhoo, overall pet peeve? Liars / backstabbers.

I agree with that pet peeve Flieger, had housemate and his gf come down have a go at me last night because "I care to much" i.e. they don;'t want me to ask how their day was, they don't want me to ask if their ok when they are depressed, they don't want me to be social with them etc. etc. I am close to just telling them to fuck off, and try and manage the rent myself. what really got me was them saying I had been talking to each of them behind the others back and the examples given I had never uttered and the wording as well is something I wouldn't come out with due to my dyslexia.

In reality 3's a crowd, and I am in the way of her having my mate to herself so shes doing the best thing she can do to split things up, so I am considering tellign them both to fuck off and get on with my life as best I can.

We tried that already. He says it bugs his face. :/ Also, it's his apartment, so telling him to man the fuck up wouldn't go over well.

He has an Ambien prescription. I've been begging him for months to talk to his doctor about trying a new medication or upping his dosage. Alas. :/

Sometimes! But it's not really the same. Some books I prefer to read. Actually, most. :/

if sleep masks bug his face, there is one other thing you can try.

Get one of those bed tent things. I had one when I was a kid; they're kinda fun. Not good if he has claustrophobia probably, but they feel surprisingly spacious once you're in them if they're set up well.

They might be a little odd, but if he's living with you I'm assuming he can get over that.

Also, mowing the lawn. The act itself doesn't bug me so much as the everyone-knows-exactly-who-I'm-talking-about-passive-aggressive-bitch-of-a-neighbor harassing me to do it if I dare retrieve the mail. As if I'm suddenly going to be less busy because you have to look at some tall grass while you sit on your porch and do nothing. I think next time she bugs me about it I may offer to let her go at it.

Started on it at 6AM, as soon as there was enough sunlight to do it. Got the part between the sidewalk and the street, the side closest to neighbor-bitch's yard, and started working on the backyard. Got about a fifth of it, blades started to seem weak. I have an electric motor, so that typically means the battery is weak. I take in the battery, plug it in, grab the other one, realize it's completely dead. They take about twelve hours to charge, so it'll be tomorrow morning before I can try again.

Before people go lol-ing at electric mowers, I should point out that I was cutting grass that has very badly overgrown, at least 10 inches in places. This was a foggy morning, and they were covered in dew; when I got inside, my toes were pruning from my shoes being flooded. I would've been able to finish almost all of it if the other battery had been fully charged (grass is far thicker on the south side) instead of completely dead; and if the grass had been cut more recently it would've been more than enough. Also, I'd like to see you play music over headphones quieter than your standard listening volume and still hear it just fine, while mowing at six in the fucking morning. Plus, as it is, I have to wait a day for my batteries to recharge; there'd be no way for me to get more fuel right now if a gas mower died. Would have to wait until at least the weekend.

tl;dr: Electric mowers KICK ASS, neighbors with nothing better to do than bitch about other people's property because they have no lives CAN SUCK IT.

I'd get some floodlights (so you can see what the hell you're doing), point them directly into her windows, and mow the lawn at 3 AM.

Then when she comes out to bitch, tell her she can have her neighbor's grass mowed or she can sleep - her choice.

oh don't get me wrong, I've thought about doing shit just to piss her off.

Problem is they've called the city before over stupid little shit, which results in a bill to us for municipal workers to come out and take care of whatever they're bitching about.

Could be worse; other neighbors called child services on us before they moved out for some reason.

I've been catching up on lots of TV and movies thanks to netflix of late.

Well, not that there was too much to miss on TV, but Ghost in the Shell: SAC and 30 Rock have been fun. Watching what I have, though, there's always one thing that throws me off about TV and Movies.

In movies they take great pains to film people in such a a way that they may or may not be as tall as they look. TV never seems to bother that much with this point, at least not the big three networks. So its weird to watch something like Desperado and then see Salma Hayek in 30 Rock, too. She's damn short.

Its just one of those things that throws you off watching the show. Well, that and her clevage.

I knew someone from high school that never got over like 4'10". Our church had a senior trip at Disney world and we all went. She got a little ticked when adults would come up to her and ask her if she was looking for her parents. It was kinda funny as we were coming in just as the Gay Pride week was going out, so it was really awkward when they asked her stuff like that. Being at Disney world, you expect to see rainbow at some point, just not in that way.
