        Why is it that when something is extremely important, the very object I need to work in order to perform that function is the one that magically quits?

        I need to scan and upload my DD214 to a website as proof of my military service. It's not negotiable. Of course, that means my scanner, which worked absolutely fine two months ago will not scan for shit, and a quick google of the error code reveals it's not something I can fix myself. Of course.

            If I could afford to spend even a cent on this, I would have already been on my way to buy a new one. I'm totally broke right now and I get paid again on Thursday. This needs to happen somehow tonight.

                I spent 5 years of my life playing FFXI. I don't have any friends. Well I did ask someone, but he says his may not work, either. And he's at work. And to be honest, since I've moved here, I've never even seen a library.

                I may have to wait until I go to work tomorrow. I don't know where I might locate a scanner I could use for like 3 minutes, but I'm pretty sure there's at least one in the company somewhere.

                    man setting up this guest room is a pain. Thank goodness it's almost done.

                    just set up a futon. I have like eight screws that I have no idea where they do. The bed itself won't actually fold properly, so it's stuck down, but I can't remove the arms either because I don't have the right size ALLLEEEEN WREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEENNNNNCH, I didn't have any help so I had to find creative ways to lift various parts of the bed to get screws to go in; I briefly considered attempting to lift the bed frame with an erection before I elected to use my knee. At one point I was pinned underneath the bed, and just sort of mellowed out wondering how the obit would read, before realizing I could bend my knee backwards and lift it with my foot before squeezing out. I managed to give myself a splinter on the wooden struts that support the mattress, had to slice my toe open in order to grab it with the tweezers.

                    I still have a wall of stuff to throw out. Most of it is plastic bags, which I plan to pack inside other plastic bags, which will then go into other plastic bags, and then into the giant recycling box at wal-mart, because I live in kansas and we love us our wal-marts. I also plan to hang the old vertical blinds instead of the curtains that are up now (the blinds are nicer, but they wouldn't fit with the AC unit that was there).

                    tl;dr: pet peeve: asians.

                        god fucking dammit. And now I go back to drop something off in mom's room, notice the drawer didn't fully close when I put the tweezers back. So I push some things down, close it up, and notice I'm bleeding.

                        On the plus side, if mom comes home and asks to see where I cut myself, I get to flip her off.

                        nevermind, I didn't cut a finger, I sliced skin off a finger. it wouldn't step bleeding after the tissue turned red, so I got a bandaid. christ, I was going to make a death trap joke about that bed when it just didn't fold right. Now I'm pretty sure it has it out for me.

                          Todays pet peeve the bloody muggy weather were having here, very uncomfortable >.< Oh and white van drivers, I went on a 104 mile round trip to a site yesterday and watched no less than 3 white van drivers nearly take someone out overtaking dangerously.
