Google wanting a phone number for my accounts. I've run into the issue where the videos I'm trying to upload to YouTube are getting kind of lengthy and Google is insisting that I verify the account in order to post the videos. However the only way to verify the account appears to be to provide them with a phone number. I have no desire to tie that particular online identity to the real world any more than is absolutely necessary.

Google has gotten really pushy with using real names on YouTube, too, which annoys the crap out of me. If I wanted to use my real name on YouTube, I would have when I signed up.

Tell me about it. I signed up with YouTube back before Google got it and these days Google simply won't accept that I want to keep my old account name tied to YouTube and not use my Google account name for it.

Basically the fact that Google forced Google+ on everyone leaves a bad taste in my mouth, too. It's not that great and basically no one uses it. Google should stick to what they do, which is being a search engine, and stay out of everything else.

Technically Google+ is the right idea as it can help them get more business; I mean if you think about it, they're basically in the advertisement business the same as FB.

Only problem is G+ sucks ass and nobody asked for it lol.

I'm aware of that, asshole.

It's aggravating hopping onto YT and then it asks me if I want to use my real ID, after I"ve already told it before I don't.

So it's both, really. They have a shit problem that nobody wanted or asked for, and they're being very pushy about it. They might want to talk to Ford and ask them how that went over pre-2008.

Several months after the prescription was initially written and I'm still trying to get these new fucking glasses sorted out. They hurt my eyes. Regrinding the prescription and adjusting the frames has done nothing so now it's time to go yell at the eye doctor to figure out what the fuck.
