So it looks like now that the GTX 700 series is on the market all the 600 series cards are just up and disappearing. I guess I should have seen this coming, but I was kind of holding out for a price drop so I could get my hands on GTX 670 without having to drop $300+ on one. Now I have to research the 700 series instead. What a drag.

I think you're putting too much thought into it.

Nah, I'll probably grab the Gigabyte gtx 770 and just not have to worry about upgrading my graphics card for the next three years.

I'm glad my coworker is in the Christmas spirit and all, but is it really necessary to sing Christmas songs in earshot of ... well, me? This would bother me less if she were a decent singer.

Money is always an issue. I'm willing to pay for a quality product up to a point, but buying the absolute top of the line hardware is usually past that point. I'm just cranky that my plan of "wait until the 700 series comes out and then those $400 gtx 670s will all be available for $200" didn't pan out.

I do know a lot of people who hate Christmas music, though. Unless they're one of the people who link the acapella group singing Drummer Boy on facebook over and over talking about how amazing it is and such an exception to most Christmas music. Makes me want to link the August Burns Red Christmas album just to annoy them.

It's not about spreading the Christmas cheer, it's about having a terrible voice and trying to spread the Christmas cheer.

Though I am one of the people who doesn't like Christmas music, so that's part of it. More than anything though, we work in a really small office and it's very hard to tune someone out who insists on singing badly.

The 760 is probably going to be your biggest bang for your buck. That said the 780's came out this year so it might be worth waiting for a price drop on those given they match the GTX Titan in performance and are a lot cheaper and more efficient.

Is it? All I know is that the gtx 670 was the go-to standard for the 600 series to the point where it was a clear choice. I'm still running a gtx 460 in my rig so no matter what I get it'll be an upgrade, but I want to put something in there that will last a couple generations of graphics cards.

So I mentioned this series of posts to my boyfriend while we were waiting in line at the Terminator attraction at Universal yesterday, and I told him that one of my online friends said that I should change my name to Megatron.

Thanks cid, my boyfriend now wants to name his firstborn (boy or girl) Megatron. Although even I have to admit that Megatron + his last name does have a fairly nice ring to it ...
