I use the X-11, it's really cheap and works just fine on the PC. Just make sure to plug the jacks into the rear ports so it is connected directly to the sound card. They tend to get a bit odd if you plug them into the front.
Also, I haven't had a headset in years, but come on man, logitech isn't your automatic answer to everything? If you can't afford logitech, wait until you can.
The headphones themselves looked less comfy, the mic automatically cuts off when flipped up which suggests I have to keep it down so everyone gets to listen to me breathing into the mic all night, I recall TM telling us about getting burned on a Logitech headset(might be mistaken on that), most of them are wireless(I want a wired connection), the volume/mute is on the headset instead of on the cord, reviews indicating shoddy mic quality on certain models, reviews indicating the ear pads falling off after a few months, USB plugs instead of jacks...
The problem is that most of those complaints extend to damn near everything on the market. So if someone has firsthand experience and can vouch for a particular model I'd be inclined to check it out, otherwise I'm going to continue to be excessively picky about this.
If I end up defaulting to anything it'll be to pick up another Steelseries Siberia v2 headset, since I liked that one well enough until the mic broke.
I gave my notice and they offered me more money so I gave them a list of concessions that I wanted (including moving to another area, and offering to move myself), and they told me no, fuck you.
Surprise interviews at work. This is just getting silly. Yesterday they sprung a phone interview on me with all of about two hours notice. Then as I'm getting ready to crawl in to the office this morning I get a call and they tell me that "oh by the way, in person interview today at 2".
Goddammit, all I wanted was a nice quiet Friday where I could relax and enjoy not having to deal with the boss while dressing down and eating Chinese food all day before going home to have a pleasant weekend. Was that really too much to ask? Now I'm all suited up and trying to keep from stressing out over an interview.
