Probably really inappropriate but I can't read Aks' and Feba's posts with a straight face because Vet means something completely different to the entire rest of the world that the meaning you guys are giving it.

Update: Seems I have time with the payment. I have until the next semester starts (August 19th) to get it paid. Putting in apps all over the place for a temporary part-time job. Hope to hear something soon.

I've noticed my roommate is like an angry girlfriend when he's gone between six and eight beers. He'll start an argument that's basically 20 questions, but its the same question twenty times and every time you answer its considered a lie anyway.

This is why I prefer he just drink past this stage and get between ten and twelve. This is where he achieves a sort of stumbling, catatonic state where he's startled by anything that moves more quickly than he does. If I had a cat, he'd have a heart attack.

Maybe I should get a cat.

Its majorly humid today, its 17C and 90% humidty here tonight at 11:30pm Roll on winter! and Aks, you can have thius hit weather and send us the rain.

Try upwards of 30° C with humidity consistently at 70% or more. Summer in D.C. is seriously miserable.

The humidity alone is killer. I waked into town this morning which is only a 2 mile walk, and arrived covered in enough sweat to make people think that I had just ran a freaking marathon.

That's more or less what I'm like after the walk home every day, soaking wet to the point where changing into a fresh pair of underwear is not an unreasonable course of action.

It's why I've started carrying a fresh change of clothes in my rucksack, and think that whoever put a installed a shower at the place where I work deserves a bloody knighthood.

I don't understand how people like it cold. I can go days without ever turning my AC on in the middle of July. I moved here to get away from the cold, not artificially create it.
