My ex rarely talks to me, regardless of my repeated attempts to start a conversation, and when she does she almost always makes vague plans to hang out. She says things like "we should hang out some time" or "we should do that some time", the key words being "some time". There's no actual commitment made.

Today, she asks why we don't hang out anymore. I wanted to throw her down a flight of uppercuts, but I said something about the weather being so cold. I don't think she even wants to hang out, so I'm not sure why she keeps mentioning it. What the hell do I say to her? I want to tell her to fuck off, but we work together.

Use your words. Be frank and honest, and if you can manage it also polite, but mostly the first two. Tell her you don't hang out because you never make solid plans. If you're ok with hanging out, give her the opportunity to do so by naming a date and a time, otherwise say you're not interested anyway because reasons.

I've found figuring out what you "should" say stressful and often fruitless. Just saying what's true is easier and is effective more often than you might lead yourself to believe.

I'm starting to wonder what kind of energy is required for someone to not only always be negative, but furiously so. Is it anti-matter?

She once said she was that way because her dog died, but that was several months ago. I think the solution, then, is to get another damn dog so we don't have to suffer her shit.

Work has been so draining lately. I genuinely enjoy the work itself, but the politics and the negativity are starting to get to me.

Morale is at a low. We lost a multi-million dollar contract a few months ago which means cutbacks and losses. We shut down our south FL branch yesterday. And the complaining ... oh god the complaining. I take it in all day and all night. I am expected to just grin and bear it and listen to it all and it's quite literally sucking the life out of me.

I'm not sure how much more I can take. I got promoted at what seems like the absolute worst possible time for this company right now. (In fact, my luck is almost always incredibly bad, so I'm not sure why I didn't see that coming.)

Ugh.

amount of coverage on tv about thatchers death, she fucked up our country in the 80's and led the way with her reforms for future governments to fuck it up even more. Shs not that important to get 3 hours coverage on prime time channels back to back on 3 channels and still ongoing now. good ridance to the iron lady is all i say.

She did way better than the previous 3 prime ministers. She wouldn't have allowed us to become overpowered and beaten down by the immigrants.
Everything british offends the outsiders that choose to come live here. Fair enough people lost jobs but we'd mined the shit out of the land anyway.
She did more things right than she did wrong but people will only care to mention where she failed them. We need somebody with balls like her to be in charge once more.

Thatcher was the British equivalent of Roland Reagan but way more fanatically right wing.

I remember when the previous Government considered giving her a State Funeral when she died. It then spawned a debate as to if she needed to be dead of not before we bury her.
