Haha, if only flying across the pond were that easy/accessible. I still don't even have a passport - and I leave/return to the USA at least once a year.

Shame really, I think you'd like it over here once you get used to the weather and the fact that you rarely see an open sky.

Seriously, it's cloudy so often here I actually get nervous when I can see the open sky. I get vertigo looking up. You know, like I could fall into the sky because there's nothing blocking it anymore.

I love it when I'm on a plane about to land in england. As the plane gets closer to the ground it's like all the colour in the world is being drained. Suddenly you're overcome by this grey aura.

I hate it when someone fucking parks in my spot. Why can't people ever learn to respect the space in front of one's house and not just abuse it, yeah it's fine if you're waiting for someone and you need to use the spot. But why the fuck are you going to come out of your car, go into your house for 3 hours and then try to start shit with me when I tell you to move it or I'll have the piece of metal towed. God I hate CT suburbs. Full of ignorant schmucks who think they can do as they please, also was up till almost the crack of dawn last night, due to people drag racing up and down my street. I'm not racist, but the PR's here need to go.

Is it assigned parking or just normal street parking?

We have assigned spots at my apartment complex and it drives me absolutely nuts when someone takes my spot. I called the towing company and they said they don't accept calls from residents - good to know how well it's being enforced.

I do know that if it's not assigned but it's just "understood" that people have claim to the spot in front of their house, it's not really against the law or a towable offense, unless they're blocking a driveway or a fire hydrant. Which totally sucks and is annoying as fuck. Then again, different states have different laws, but most I've seen generally consider the street to be free and fair game for anyone who gets there first.

That's why you call the police and report that car abandoned. Three outcomes are possible:

1) The car gets towed.
2) The owner moved the thing
3) The owner is dumb enough to tell a police officer to go fuck themselves and gets taken to the station, then the car is towed.

Pet Peeve for today, someone arguing how the Call of Duty and Battlefield Franchise are better than old classic arcade shooters such as Serious Sam, Doom Series, Quake Series, etc etc. That really bugged me, he kept basing his facts off the over pumped graphics and the gameplay style on how real it was compared to some of the Sci-Fi scenes set for those games. He also tried to say Veteran on Call of Duty is harder than Doom's last difficulty which is Nightmare, where enemies constantly respawn, move fast and you can't use cheats. I could go on, but I'll let someone else pick this topic up if they wish to.

When someone has already made it clear they've never set foot in an arcade in their lives (Quake being the only lucky guess they had), when they can't differentiate the different eras of shooters or understand why CoD has benefited from the games that came before and itstead directly compares them - is it really worth discussing the subject with them?

They are stupid for even making the argument - don't let them suck you in by arguing back.

My neighbors have a 2 cars and her husband's truck, which means every time I leave, they decide they want to park one of them in front of my house. The neighbor on the other side has 2 cars and apparently 'needs' to keep a 10 ft gap between the two, "just in case" she can't back one of them out or parallel park.

I fucking hate my neighbors.

I was texted by Boss Lady last night about being in at 1400 for an equipment turn-in. That's usually on HR but since they don't work weekends (must be nice) from time to time, we have to handle them. She asked me to do it because this chick who was supposed to come by, well, she's kind of a loose cannon.

1400 sucks, by the way, that's like 5AM on my schedule. So I'm all zombied half-asleep rolling into work and I was told, stay til 1500, if she's not there by then, beat feet.

10-4, so I get there, sit down at my desk, work on a few things, and of course, bitch never shows. I could have been asleep, warm and cozy in my bed. Wasted gas, wasted sleep, wasted time. Yeah I got paid for it, but dammit ...

This is precisely why I think we need to stop doing weekend turn-ins. This is not the only time this has happened. These people flake out and don't show and people like me get screwed by it. They end up paying for unnecessary hours. Granted I appreciate the overtime but I would have liked the sleep a lot better.

I'm finding again that the most annoying thing about a broken little toe is standing up first thing in the morning and trying to make it so i'm not aware of of it as I'm trying to go to sleep.

The rest of the time I don't know there's even a problem. Well aside from when it hit the doorframe and started all thsi.

I had to dance on a broken toe once, a long time ago. The show must go on. It succccked. Had to smile onstage like nothing was wrong.

Unfortunately, dancing en pointe was probably just as damaging. I have permanent scars from that. But I wasn't gonna tell the studio owner I wasn't dancing, she terrified me lol. We worked all year for that show, there was no way I wasn't going on to perform.

I have a pretty high tolerance for pain, luckily.
