In general, I think that works very nicely for a pet peeve:

"Something that I like ended up being ridiculously powerful and overused by everyone, whether they liked it or not."

Seems Boros is going to end up going that route for me, grumble grumble . . . stupid skyrocketing Boros Reckoner price . . .

Eh, I get why it had to go. I'm just annoyed because I finally decided I want to give Garchomp a try. But now I can't use any run-of-the-mill one I find on wifi trade. I need one that specifically has Roughskin in order for it to be considered "legal". I put up a request for one on Serebii. I'm just annoyed because I actually have one. I just can't use it. And there is just no way I'm going to rack up points on Pokemon Dream World just to get one.

So I guess my rant was more of a "I wanna do this, but now I have to jump through hoops to get it" sort of deal.

It's Sandstorm and Sand Veil you can't have. You can still use any form of Chomp, you just can't have it with Sand Veil if your team can trigger Sandstorm.

It's like Rain Dance and Swift Swim. You can only have one or the other on your team because of how absurdly broken it is.

You sure? Whenever I try to find any info on it, it sounds like Sand Veil itself is what's banned. Anyway, I'm wondering because a group I joined generally wants to stick to OU rules.

I for one think your interpretation is what it should be though. If I choose not to put Sandstorm weather on my team, it shouldn't be my problem if the opponent chooses to do so.

• Banned Abilities - A team cannot have a Pokemon with any of the following abilities: Sand Veil and Snow Cloak.
• Banned Items - A team cannot have the Pokemon Latias or Latios with the hold item Soul Dew on their team.
• Drizzle + Swift Swim - Using both a Pokemon with Drizzle and a Pokemon with Swift Swim on the same team is banned.

No Sand Veil under any circumstances.
