I totally agree Kinder eggs should be illegal.
the ammount of toy parts and halves of the plastic egg I've had to retrieve from children's throats and noses is unreal.
I see a kinder egg related injury roughly every 2 weeks at least. I've handled at most 5 gunshot wounds in my 10 year career and I work in the emergency department quite a lot.
I'm going to ask one of the consultants tomorrow because I've got a feeling on the statistics side of things that a kinder egg is actually deadlier than a gun.

About a year ago the wireless router in the office died and it fell to me to set up the replacement. I didn't get to choose what model we got, so we ended up with a bargain bin product with sparse and extremely poorly translated instructions. Given that I had no idea what I was doing and the fact that the product was godawful, it took me the better part of a week to restore some semblance of wireless functionality to the office that played nice with our off-site servers.

However, the only way I was able to achieve this was to make all the wireless traffic reside on its own subnet. This has been problematic ever since, but I've never wanted to touch it for fear that the whole thing would collapse again and we'd lose at least another week of productivity.

Enter a new printer.
The previous printers all played nice, even if I had to browbeat them by IP address to do it. The new one? Only works if you're on the LAN. It just throws a goddamn fit if you're on the wireless network. Hell, I couldn't even get the drivers to install off the CD unless I plugged our laptops into the wall. Now I find that even with the drivers installed it doesn't matter. Oh all the laptops can ping the printer, but it straight up won't print anything that isn't coming directly over the LAN.

I fucking hate technology.

Thursday can't come soon enough. I need a vacation.

Excuse me, I'm going to go out today to the mall in full goth gear (I typically go "goth-lite," think Abby from NCIS, though I have some darker attire that I wear from time to time), with the full black lipstick and eyeliner, listening to some Marilyn Manson and glaring at the world.

I'm sure someone will think I'm out to kill people, but I just want to hit up Spencer's.

Then I realised it was a fucking 3DS game so it's going to be 2 years of dodging spoilers until the game might get an announcement for the EU but no solid release date before turning into vapour ware like P4 Arena, Devil Survivor Overclocked, Devil Survivor 2, and the Entire Devil Summoner Series. P4 Golden might be the same as well since while we do have a release date for it, it has already changed 3 times.

I might not get so uptight about this one. Etrian Odyssey IV is making it out to the EU eShop pretty close to the US launch of the retail version, so you may not be without options when it comes to Soul Hackers. Perhaps not the idea solution if you prefer a physical copy, but still a solution.

At least we will be getting copy if that is the case. The Persona 4 Arena debacle is still something that is making me less willing to trust Atlus on their word however. Even with a digital copy of P4 Arena out and playable with a hacked 360 or a US PSN Account, there is still no confirmed release date, all we have for news for that is that it will be a 2013 launch and that was last month. The only other news we get from the Persona Europe website and facebook page are the staff putting up images, videos and blatant spoilers as it they are trying to intentionally piss off the entire European fanbase.

I actually cancelled my P4 Arena pre order because of it. At the point in time I'd rather put my $73 (The price of P4 Arena in the UK converted into US Dollars) towards getting a Vita and P4 Golden when it's out in February. There will be little point in playing online due to the Japanese and US playerbase having a good 6-9 months on the EU and Australian playerbase and Atlus have already spoiled most of the game anyway by posting clear and unmarked spoilers publicly on their facebook page and Zen United's forums, which has done nothing but annoy the EU playerbase. A lot of people over here are feeling the same way and there are actually people planning to boycott it because the most to region lock the game was motivated out of nothing but pure greed which Atlus later admitted.

It is a shame to see it from a developer that I used to respect, but Atlus is just that greedy, and is seeing the GBP/Euro/Kr/AUSD/NZD-USD currency rate as the same reason to region lock the US version of the game. Since the reason they don't want the Japanese importing games is because games released for the US are cheaper, which is actually the same situation in Europe. It's just cheaper for Europeans to import games in from the US since the typical way retailers determine the pricing of a game to be sold in Europe is taking the US price and changing USD to GBP/Euro/Kr/AUSD/NZD, netting themselves a huge profit in the process and allowing retailers (including Digital Distribution platforms such as Steam and PSN and ESPECIALLY eStore, Origin and Xbox Live Marketplace) to also scoop up a huge profit from game sales.

I'm not trying to put Atlus into the same pit as EA or Activision here, but the blatant greed for profit mongering is destroying the game's interest in Europe (especially when other Atlus games are being released rather quickly after the US release over here), but it has also done a lot to harm Atlus' image and reputation. I know they were baing honest when they admitted the reason for region locking the game was motivated by pure greed but still, what the fuck Atlus?

What is wrong with this world lately?
There's so many things lately, that if the mayan prophecy was correct I really wouldn't mind the reset button being pressed.

I would be more sympathetic if the complaints were directed to the publisher that's supposed to do the publishing or Index Corp. (which owns Atlus) rather than pissed out on US gamers every single time there's a game announcement. Its not our problem, its not Atlus USA's problem and reminding us does not do anything but turn you into a broken record.

Just sayin'.
