Get in a raft and paddle to bham. I live on 11th floor no floods for me. the wind has been terrible though I can feel my flat swaying in the wind. It's worse when I'm at my Pc, It's placed in the corner of my room which is also the corner of the building so when it sways I feel it most there.

Even more so when I've had a smoke, it freaks me out.

Thankfully it's not too bad in Stoke, but I still live at the bottom of a valley though so guess where all of the water drains to?

Thankfully the house I live in is actually pretty resistant to flood damage given that the front is not at street level. The garden is at street level though, which means that we sometimes have to sandbag the back door just in case.

It can get a bit odd in the morning when you open the front door and see a small stream where the road should be though. Getting to work is a pain, it's hard to cycle wearing wellies.

The news that peeved me: the punkass thug who shot our Officer is a sixteen year old gang member with years of violent juvenile charges behind him, and a lifetime of jail ahead of him. What a waste of a life.

I miss thunderstorms... I grew up in Virginia, and they rolled through often. I took it for granted and enjoyed them, but now I live in San Diego, and most of the days there isn't a cloud in the sky. I always look forward to going home and hopefully getting a thunderstorm to come through. Head out to the screened in porch, have a cigar, and enjoy the storm.

Having thunderstorms often though would suck, and would definitely be a peeve of mine, lol...

I miss that about my dorm in college. When it rained I'd always prop the window open and listen to the rain while I worked on my computer. It was really relaxing.

I normally sleep through thunderstorms and otherwise enjoy them during the day (it's my favourite weather), but my dog... he hates thunder and lightning so much. He'll run out of my room and then up and down the hallway barking for all to hear (this was at 4AM. Thinking about it, this is the second thunderstorm to happen at 4AM). When he's done, he usually comes back into my room, hides under my computer desk and then growls/barks whenever the thunder booms or lightning flashes again.

Not having any anime to watch. It's depressing to be honest. I finished Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko...well I have to finish "Ep 13" which is a half hour long special.I was also fairly annoyed with the way the Naruto Anime is going, like episodes 270-280 was just pure filling crap. GAH! I also like the new "Me" its more flavoring than the old self. Like a cicada shedding it's skin. Mmm...delicious.

There's a red-back spider in my mail box. I knew there was a spider living in the mail box, but I couldn't recognise the spider web due to the letters usually messing it up upon delivery. How it survived after spraying the inside of the box yesterday is beyond me (I saw it scuttle under a letter after destroying the 'web' with a pair of tongs).

No ideas for my fiancée's Christmas gift, which wouldn't be a problem (all she ever mentions wanting lately is an iPhone, and we both know I'm not buying her a goddamned iPhone), except that yesterday she comes up to me all "by the way, your Christmas gift is going to be awesome, just so you're aware".
