The video driver issue sorted itself out on its own. Apparently 3 was the magical number of restarts required to supplicate the gremlin.
Getting the latest AHCI and chipset drivers from the manufacturer now.Comment

My schedule for this week.
I'm working all three shifts within a three day period, I only have one full day off, and twice this week I will only have an eight hour turn around, which means I might get five hours of sleep if I'm lucky.
Something's got to give. I am not the only fucking person who can work these shifts. They need to find someone else to do the late night shift because this swing sleep thing isn't working for me, I'm far too old for this shit.sigpic

Rewriting my resume. Does this sound too cynical?
[temp agency] sentenced me to two years of menial labor at [manucfacturer] with no hope of being hired. I sorted bolts and fasteners all day because it clearly put the full-timers to sleep. It required lots of coffee, earplugs and nothing from my Journalism degree.
