I know right, that is the same way my dad feels. My dad has 2 other brothers and they have nothing at all to do with my grandmother. He also had a 3rd brother that passed away a few years ago and he didn't have much to do with my grandmother either. Same thing happened to my grandmother on my mom's side, my mom was the youngest and her brother and sister dropped all the work on her. Its just a sad situation.

Alright, so 3rd party companies from inside of our insurance company send us quotes for insurance. Our main insurance company also sent us one which raised my insurance up to almost $750 ( I just have PLPD on mine.), and slightly raised my parent's insurance by a few dollars. The 3rd party one cut mine almost in half to like $375 and raised both of my parents about $150-$200 (Which in total is still about $200-300 cheaper than what we've been paying.) The 3rd party company along with the quote they also sent a rap sheet on me which stated that I had an accident along with 2 other tickets I received a week before and a week after I got in the accident. Now the accident did happen, but the "Minor Infractions" and the "Speeding" tickets did not.

We called the insurance company to inquire about it thinking that that might be part of the reason why our current insurance is so high, but they told us we have to take it up with the secretary of state. After I take it up with the SoS, they should give me a paper clearing my record. I have a feeling though that they're going to tell me that I have to take it up with the cops lol.

TL;DR: People screwing up other people's lives over things that never happened.

OK, I want her out... NOW.

The last few weeks my sister has been using the George Foreman, but not disposing of the grease properly. Instead she pours it down the garbage disposal. She just pours it in there, doesn't even run hot water with it as she does it.

Now she wonders why the sink is clogged all to hell and expects me to fix it. I have used the first batch of Drain-o to no avail, the apartment just smells like Drain-o and that's not helping the nasty cold I have right now. I don't want to go anywhere but I'm going to have to go get more.

Grrrrrr.

One of my favorite online miniatures games getting revamped(read: skullfucked into oblivion) tonight.

Contract at work is still in limbo and has been since November.

Lack of things to mix with rum in the house tonight.

Wow, I'm gone for a few days and Kitten is contemplating murder, Rdm is driving Cid to drink, Neverslip read the Kama Sutra and slipped I think, and Mezlo is encouraging bad habits! Wow!



Well Kitten your sister sounds like my daughter so you have my deepest sympathies. Tell your parents that I've "been there, done that" and to save themselves some $$ and grey hairs and just kick her ass out.

Cid, rdm is a very rewarding job..........if it doesn't kill you first! lol Btw, buy the lemon flavored rum so when you run out of mixers you can just use water and some ice for a "sorta" lemonade. (I also recommend some extra lemon but if you don't have mixers, I HIGHLY doubt you'll have lemon!)

Never, I loathe to make fun of people in pain so please don't take it that way. I also live with pain daily but I find laughter one of the best medicines. ^^

Rewarding, but damn if it hasn't killed my fingers. Easing Carpal Tunnel syndrome is the most compelling argument for picking up Windower I can think of right now. Damn I hope my fingers are better by Friday so I can at least do weekend adventuring.

Drinking rum straight has never been a problem. Gin on the other hand...

Gotta go down the the secretary of state to obtain a certified version of my driving records, and if they aren't right I'll have to dispute them. Somebody at work mentioned that I might need a lawyer, I hope it doesn't come down to that.

Went down to the secretary of state and got my driving record which only had the accident, but apparently one of the dates was incorrectly entered from the courthouse to the secretary of state. Went down to the courthouse and they said that they would have the Magistrate fix it tomorrow when he comes in, and that they would call me as soon as it is fixed. So I'm going to have to probably pay another $8 for a new record, but paying $16 to save $300-$400 is excellent!

God I know the hassle of trying to fix records and its not fun at all! I'm glad that you got it done fast and cheap! There is a woman and her husband that live a couple of counties over from my husband and I that have the same names. We've had so many issues with this and we think that they've taken advantage of it too. We have a private investigator and a lawyer looking into it now but we really dropped the ball. We knew something was up for about 10 years now but didn't think it was an issue until we tried to get some records recently. Now we have to pay to get this figured out but if we can prove that they were doing anything illegal than we can sue them and get back what we had to pay out.


Aaaaaand speaking of suing...my lawsuit with a major delivery service should be over by this fall!! YIPPEEEEEEE!! If you've never sued anyone before, it is NOT fun and you do not get as much as you think. Whenever you hear someone got a settlement of 2 million, they didn't get 2 million....trust me....far from it.... I'm hoping to win 1.5 - 2 million and I'll be lucky if I clear about 400k. Then out of that I have to budget for medication, doctors appointments, injections 6 times a year, and anything surgical for the rest of my life. Plus I have to pay off all the medical bills I have already piled up. Ya, my thoughts of travelling to Japan, working on my Harley, paying off my bills, etc are just a pie in the sky.....and they said the cake was a lie....pffft...

There's this new chick at work and she's such a goddamn waste of space, it's unreal. Honestly, the work she manages to do could easily be spread out around the rest of us in the department, because we're really not all that terribly busy lately. I'm gonna run down how this works. We assemble the packets, which involves several quality checks and whatnot, but basically, the standard is "80 per hour." Now we had about 250 each today, which means that with you know, minor breaks and accounting for errors and whatnot, it should have taken about three and a half hours to do that portion of the work.

Now we got this work at about 7:45 this morning. She was still fucking assembling at 2:45. There are three "last line" quality check personnel who work in the back line and basically prepare everything to go out, and they were just waiting on this one chick. I felt bad for them, because they couldn't leave until she was done. I work in a mail room, (I am being intentionally vague, btw) and I was there to send the mail through the meter as the QCers were finishing up, so I was stuck there waiting on this chick, too.

And what makes it worse is that she sits in the "milk square," the section of the office which has the worst time milkers. Two of them come in at 4AM every day. There's absolutely nothing to do until about 6:30, but they come in and do bullshit work just to be on the clock and get mad overtime. And one of the women will assemble about 10, then read a chapter of her book, then work about 10 more, the entire day. So this new girl is picking up all of their bad habits. It's fucking unreal.

I mean goddamn, I fuck off here and there at work and no one really complains because I still get my work done rather quickly (I easily hit the 80/hr mark, possibly up to about 100/hr at this point), but shit, I have never seen people milk this hard, and I have no idea why the supervisors don't say shit about it. Though today I think they did when the waste of space had about 50 still on her desk (it's easy to count because they're set in small stacks of 10) and she was the only person still assembling at 2:30 and then I looked right around 3 and she was down to about 20 or so, so they must have told her to move her ass.

I seriously hope she gets fired, because honestly she's pretty goddamn useless, and the fact that she's so slow has kept about five (maybe more) additional people on the clock longer than they needed to be.
