CT DMV. Being closed on the only day I manage to wake up in time for it to be open, but because its Monday.... It's closed.

For most people it wouldn't be an issue... But because I work nights... By the time I am awake... Its closed. -.-;

I slept in til about 10 today, and got up to find my kitchen's counters and floor completely covered in eggs, milk, honey, yogurt, and mashed banana from my daughter's attempts to make breakfast. /sigh

Also the most obnoxious, solvent-resistant protein chains in the kitchen, but yeah. It's also clear that when one breakfast plan clearly failed, she didn't give up and tried another one.

...and the new fan is rattling around and making noises like it's about to die. I guess I'm gonna have to take it back to the store later this week. It also seems to not fit snugly into the slot, so it's also been shaking itself loose I think. That's the last thing I need, pieces falling out of the case when I'm not at my desk and tearing everything apart from the inside.

Through a series of circumstances and miscommunications that aren't worth my time to spell out much less anyone else's time to read, I am eating canned soup alone tonight rather than oven roasted chicken and wine with my wife as expected. It's nobody's fault but I still feel like I got fucked and I'm bitter about it. #foreveralone

On the bright side, yesterday's tale ended rather happily, with the mess coming up surprisingly easily, me and the little ones walking to the store to replace the lost sundries, and mylar balloons being purchased as treats. Both children were very happy and my daughter said it was like a birthday.

I'm really just teasing you. It all started when you reacted aggressively to me making fun of you one day and now I'm just curious how angry I can Make you. I'm probably a terrible person... but breaking a happy-go-lucky person's cheerful demeanor is amusing to me. It's the challenge... not the result.

This plus a couple other friends I've made that live across the country from me. The cost of living here in TX is low, job markets are good last I heard, and there's a major airport here. The level of social backwardness is not as high as you probably think in urban areas. You would be living closer to Raydeus, though. I can't put a good spin on that one.
