Getting texts from my boss after I've left. I guess it's better than getting a call saying, "Come back in!" but man, I'm off, I have tomorrow off, leave me alone! lol.

This is why I leave my phone off and sitting in the charger once I leave work. I don't ever want to deal with work encroaching on my life outside of work.
It doesn't usually bother me. I can get called back in with a moment's notice and I am the third in command so I have to be available 24/7. This was just a series of unnecessary texts asking me something that could have been handled via e-mail.
Oh, and wow. Reading some comments on the other night's NCIS episode on CBS's blog. They introduced a guy - an agent, and an extra - that turned out to be gay. OH MY GOD you should read some of the ignorance on this blog. There is nothing wrong with being gay, and they're not trying to shove ANYTHING down your throats. People come from all walks of life and are successful, how about a little tolerance you fucking assholes. I started reading these comments about how if this guy comes back then people are going to stop watching because it's a "good family show." Really?!?!?!?!?!! Because I thought it was about investigating murders, rapes, terrorists, arms dealers, and government gone wrong. The fact that people are still so fucking intolerant in 2012 is just disgusting.
How on earth does someone's sexual orientation have anything to do with "family values"? It is the goddamn 21st century, people need to get with the times.
Any opinions expressed are my own, and potentially unpopular with others. Should this be upsetting, maybe, read it again, insert smiley faces, rainbows, and glitter as needed.

You know what? Hatred for gay people, as time goes on, is less and less widespread and even looked down upon. It'll practically die out as the older generations make way for the new ones. But as 2012 marches on, I feel like though less people have anti-gay views, the ones that continue to cling are also becoming more incensed. I noticed certain politicians (like we don't know who I'm talking about) are beginning to use it as their political punchline.
I don't know, maybe they think they're not going to win on the whole jobs debate? Personally, I think this is a bad move on the right's part. They had something going when the focus was on the economy and the creation of jobs, and they're going to blow it by being distracted by all this mess about contraception and gay marriage. All just to win a few points with the really, really serious evangelicals and Catholics. You'd think people should just get over. It's fucking 2012 right?! Well, when you have the second most popular guy in your party going on TV and comparing homosexuality to man-on-dog sex, well, you're going to really make some people feel justified to look down on gay people.
I guess it's a natural reaction to several states putting the marriage equality thing on the table in such a short amount of time. And with almost unanimous success. The Republicans that voted for it? They're not doing so well with their own parties. So that sends a message right there about what it means to be Republican who just happens to lean left on social issues. Like I cannot say I am really satisfied with President Obama's presidency so far. But the current Republican potential candidates are beginning to make themselves very difficult to digest. Me personally, I'm in New Jersey and I feel like I just got a massive kick to the balls when Governor Christie vetoed.
They fired the guy who works at our sister group home. He likes to work a lot of overtime and is more willing than most. So now that he's gone, finding coverage for that house is going to be a total pain in the ass.
Apparently, he's facing charges for giving pain killers to kids on the playground...
Pain killers to kids on the playground? Like one of them had a headache and he said "Hey kid take an aspirin." and then the police was all "Ohhh no you didn't."
Or was it more like "Free candy for everyone!" and then the police was all "Ohhh no you didn't."
