Being told I may be sued by a member of the public that came into the hospital to visit somebody. I performed chest compressions on them and broke not 1 rib but 2 !!! It's not my fault they have a condition nobody has heard of that gives them twig like bones. I'd never even heard of it.
What is wrong with people? It's not like I intentionally assaulted them I did it saving their life. They are lucky I never punctured their lung also, Why aren't they at fault for not wearing a medical bracelet like epileptics and diabetics wear? It put me in rage mode for the day.

People are ungreatful and have too many rights. If I'd been in the situation of having my life saved when I came around the first thing I'd be doing was shaking the guys hand in thanks not calling a legal representative.
If I hadn't been on duty and in uniform it probably would have been fine. but because I was on duty, in uniform and on hospital property it's put a target on my back.
I should have walked on by and continued to go for my cigarette whilst on my way to collect items from pharmacy and wheeling a lady for a ct scan as I go, My first cigarette/break at all. in 7 hours of flat out work with no time for a break because the bank staff I booked as cover didn't show and the nurse bank taking their time to get somebody to us.

So .... um ...yeah..... today sucked !!!!!!!

I dread to think how scary it is to work in medicine in the Us. I'd be too scared to even fart near somebody.

Like the guy who wanted to kill himself, and jumped off a building, but then lived, and sued the news company because they recorded him.

You can get sued for saving some one's life. You have to ask them for their permission before doing the heimlich to save them. If they refuse, you have to sit there and watch. Then, their family can sue you for not doing it. But, once the person passes out, you can.

In the US, you are protected by Good Samaritan laws. So if you harm someone while performing CPR or something along those lines, you are protected.

Eh, not all the time.

My father is a truck driver (the big rigs, not those puny things people call trucks.), and a cab driver hit him. My dad got sued because the cab driver said he got whiplash, and cracked his neck. The Driver was ok and everything, and all the evidence was against the cab driver, yet the driver still won.

Same with how fucked up the legal system in the US is. Casey Anthony (Fucker should burn in the 7 layers of hell for all eternetiy.), won her case, even though those on death row have LESS evidence against them. I mean.... Who the fuck wraps their baby up in duct tape, and places it in the basement after it drowned!? That was fishy from the start. burn in hell Casey Anthony....

Even though I don't start work for a few weeks, and I'm allowed to sleep all day, it annoys me
Woke up at 10am, went back to sleep, woke up at 12, went back to sleep, woke up at 2 went back to sleep and I just woke up at nearly 5pm >.<

My head is really hurting due to being up till 4am and being in bed till 5pm I really can't wait to start work, so I have a reason to actually have to be out of bed as a normal person.

In the US, you are protected by Good Samaritan laws. So if you harm someone while performing CPR or something along those lines, you are protected.

Those laws only protect you if you're licensed to perform cpr... if you aren't, its no different than if I tried to perform open heart surgery on you because you had a heart attack.
