I recently got a memory foam mattress. I'd been having aches in my back nothing major as to go to call it pain.
I'd been told its because of lifting people at work, Something which I shouldnt be doing really but applying the manual handling techniques at times are more trouble/dangerous to both nurse and patient. Sometimes "putting your back in to it" is the most effective and safest route even when we're told it isnt the correct way.

anyways, I got a bit mislead lol. My memory foam mattress has worked wonders its both soft and firm I can't believe I hadn't invested in one sooner.

I used to get sciatic pain which sent pulses of pain down my leg to my foot which sometimes caused me to limp when it was bad. which would cause hip pain located in the inner hip/groin which after a few hours would cause my knee to hurt then.
After a few nights of sleep on the new mattress all of the above symptoms were less frequent and for the past couple of months I have yet to experience it again.

I'm not saying its a miracle cure but it has worked for me.

Cid ... are you opposed to seeing a Chiropractor or Acupuncturist? See what your doctor has to say about alternative forms of medicine like chiro and acupuncture. Most MD's think chiro is crap but I've had some really good results from chiro. My doctor isn't opposed to chiro or acupuncture so I got prescriptions. I've done acupuncture as well. I liked acupuncture and would like to start doing sessions again. I'd like to start going more now that I've gotten my pain levels under control. Massage is also very very helpful. If you have insurance see if any of those is covered.

I'm hesitant to try either honestly. I've heard that in some cases a chiropractor can make a bad situation a hell of a lot worse, so unless my doctor recommends it I'm probably going to keep clear of it for now. Acupuncture involves needles right? I hate needles. A lot.

What I am considering doing is burning some vacation days so I can just spend some time at home not stuck in a chair at the office. Working in an office all day is definitely not helping my situation any.

The wife and I just invested beaucoup money in the top of the line memory foam mattress. We were sold on it at the store because "it was the softest one in there." The store easily had 100 different mattresses and it truly was remarkable. Well, we have been sleeping on it now for 5 days, and it is now where newar as soft and pleasant as it was at the store. Now the manager said we had to give it time to break in, but....

Logging onto my PC to edit the most recent episode of Everyone's Grudge only to find out that it didn't save to the folder it was supposed to... and was systematically eliminated when I defragged my HD the day before.

I was able to retrieve it... but in an incredibly fragmented form that isn't fitting for human ears.

I... am angry.

For what it's worth... it was the shortest one we've ever recorded. Prior to editing it was only 55 minutes long. Upon completion it would have clocked in at around 45 minutes.

It's not as infuriating as it would have been if it were a 2 hour long recording like the SOPA/PIPA episode was... but it still drove me nuts.
