People who get pissy when I ask if they have a smaller bill than a $100 when I am running the register at work.

Yes... I COULD break the bill, but then I will be leaving it in the register when I close, and that is a HUGE no when working at the gas station.

No sir, I can't break that 100. This is the third hundred in a row... My small bills are low as is.

Or, when people pay for a $1.85 soda with a $50 bill. Sure, I'll take that, and give you a bunch of bills back, and yet you get angry at me for when it was YOUR choice to give me a large bill for such a low priced item.

How about when people decide to pay credit, and find out that their card was declined? I'm sorry Ma'am, but I don't know how much is in your bank account, you are the one incontrol of that, not me.

Or when they tell me the wrong fuel type on their pump. Oh, sorry, did you want premium? You had told me regular.

Or even when they go back to their car for some more change, like a penny. Its ok... A penny short is fine. Its not like my drawer will be short/over too much because I missed a penny. I'll just take it from the leave a penny thing.

How about when they want to get like 50+ things over $100, and they don't have enough money, so you have to void the entire ticket....

Maybe when they get out of their car at the pump, and tell me... $12 on pump... -Points out into the black outside, at a car I can't see.- What ever pump that is, then get pissy at me because my vision isn't the best, and I can't tell them the pump they are at. JUST LOOK AT THE FUCKING NUMBER BEFORE YOU WALK AWAY FROM THE PUMP!!!!! HOW HARD IS THAT!?!?!?!?!?! Oh, I thought you said pump 3, yet you meant pump 4? Oh, sorry, but some one took your money, maybe next time look at the pump number.

Or, when people complain about the price of ciggerretes, yet they don't quite smoking... IF THEY COST TOO MUCH, THEN WHY DO IT!?!?!


+/- 50 more things though, but don't feel like listing them all. Ahhhh... The joys of working a gas station.

Thanks Aks. I'll defiantly be book marking that site. The spanish speaking on is quite funny, as I have a few regulars who walk in all the time and speak nothing but spanish.

Can't understand a word they say.

I understand that you want to keep your language, but I don't want to have to learn spanish to better serve you. Please learn english, or enough of it so that you can understand me, or I can understand you.

I have to speak Spanish a bit at my job too, it doesn't really bother me as much though because I need to learn it to communicate with my kids.

I honestly don't mind it but, when you are talking to some one who grew up knowing english, and only english, it can be a bit hard for me to help better serve you.

Out of pure habit, I always ask "Anything else?", and they always say: "Si, or Yes", which in turn makes me think they want something else, when they really don't, and it causes quite a bit of awkwardness. lol

At my job we have other people who can speak Spanish if the customer needs it. Because I'm sure as hell not going to bother.

So, another morning, another inability to sleep in (I actually took my two days off this week, which fell on a Wedneday/Thursday, which sucks but whatev.) This morning's meltdown - my nephew had one hour of computer time, and then his brother got it, but the concept of sharing is just so fucking foreign to him that he started throwing things and screaming. And my sister, rather than recognize that that behavior is completely unacceptable, is just like "Well, he's had a lot of changes in his life. I just broke up with my boyfriend, so he misses him!" And I'm like "You broke up a few hours ago. The kids don't even know yet. He's just an asshole." So now apparently I'M the asshole.

I'm paying her rent. Admittedly, not as much as I'd be paying for my own place, but believe me, she's not going to mess with that.

She's not all bad, honestly. She's just a terrible housekeeper, and every time she breaks up with her boyfriend (which happens about once a week), it's all she talks about and wants to deal with, and I'm like "be a mother to your children."

Not a pet peeve today, everything went well in college today, there is however a girl in my class who is heartbroken, I am not sure if I should lend an ear to her about her problem. Which in turn might tie into a pool of drama...I don't need or want..decisions decisions...

If you know her, then lend an ear to her, and if the drama is worth it, help her out. I'd rather take one some one's drama, than be heartbroken. I've had it happen to me many times, and know how it feels. The friendship caused by helping another when in need can last a life time.

Also, people who post their every farmville update to Facebook.

My sister is also turning into one of those people that flirts with her husband over Facebook. He doesn't flirt back, which I'm just assuming means he has the dignity to just text it back to her instead.

You mean pinto beans?

Here we usually let them rest in water for a while before putting then in the pressure cooker. But other than that there's nothing special about cooking them. Unless the beans there are of a different kind or something. Now if it was Pinto Beats, then I have no idea what that is. <_<;

I soaked them for several hours, had them in a crock pot for ten. Tested em, still kinda dry. Strained them, put them in a fresh bowl of water, put them in the fridge to try again later. Took them out, put them back in the crockpot, let them be for about ten more hours. Still kinda dry on the inside.

Gave up, threw em in the stew pot with some other stuff to cover up the dryness. Texas Pete and crushed tomatoes with rice does wonders.
