My brain has finally recovered from Black Friday. Take a bit to stop reeling from all the stupidity you're exposed to in one day.

I had to save one woman from buying a game that would have made her throw her Wii into a dumpster. She wantd Shiren The Wanderer because it reminded her of Shenmue for some reason. I redirected her to Muramasa: The Demon Blade, which is admittedly a little easier to play and less bent on murdering you.

Things often got so hectic that you only had a small window in which to confirm you had something or not. It really pissed me off when I told someone we didn't have something only to see it there five minutes later while helping someone else. Any other day you could be more thorough.

I did get a number of suggestive sales off that day, though, which is one of my stronger points.

I love these PSN updates where they add a PSOne of PS2 Classic and its a game no one would ever fucking want.

Yes, I was totally looking forward to Tak 2: The Staff of Dreams.

Oh well, at least that Darkstalkers PSX game got on there tonight.

And Voltron has a new game? Guess I'll check out the demo.

Somebody put me on that waiting list after Nandito.

My boss has called out sick for the week, and potentially for weeks to come, so I'm left holding the fort. Which would be Ok. Except 1 of our group home staff has been transferred to work at a day program. Damn, now we've got 40 hours left to cover...

But there's more. And it gets worse. This morning, I came in and the Assistant Director in charge of our home was there and she informed me that 2 of our staff got fired overnight because they were caught sleeping on the job. So now we've got 120 hours to cover.

And worse, I'm the first on-call, so guess who gets to cover said hours if I'm unable to find the coverage. I'm already looking at 28 hours of overtime this week. And as nice as money is, sometimes feeling like death the next day just isn't worth it...

I think it's time to start looking for another job.

Backstory: So I play FF at work. I shouldn't... but I do. You see, we have these stretches of time here where there's nothing at all to do. What better way to fill the time than with something mind-numbing like FF? My 3 managers didn't quite agree with me on that. Thankfully, these managers rotate their management schedule so that I deal with each one for 4 months at a time. 2 of them acknowledge the rule that has been applied to my laptop... 1 of them is adamantly against me bringing it to work at all. Of the 2 that simply acknowledge it... 1 turns a blind eye... and the other simply never comes anywhere near my office and wouldn't have a clue what I was doing anyway. I could be shooting up heroine with Betty White and this one would never know. Currently... I'm on the final day of the manager who turns a blind eye and doesn't care. Tomorrow starts 4 months of hell with the one that wants my head on the chopping block.

Today: One of the supervisors calls me over the radio to ask for a simple piece of information that I receive only when dispatch emails it to me. When I receive said info... I am to display it on the internal monitors for the employees under his supervision to see. At the time, I had not yet gotten said email and told him so. 10 Minutes later he marches into my office and asks for it again. I check my email and physically show him that there is no such email in my inbox. He then storms out and reports having seen my laptop to my "blind eye" manager... even going so far as to say he saw what appeared to be "some sort of chat room fantasy sex game" on it. I could totally get where he could see that... as I was currently beating the hell out of Carabosse with a tiny Ninja in a plush green field with dandelions all around me.

Although this manager and I have a mutual understanding that so long as my work is not effected by it, I can play... his hand was forced and I was written up for it. Being written up doesn't bother me... it's being thrown under the bus when I had done nothing wrong. I sit here and occupy myself playing FF while I wait for there to be work. Anyone who plays with me during these hours can tell you that I frequently excuse myself on account of work that needs to be done.

I'm only slightly peeved about it. My pleasure cruise of gaming at work was due to end tomorrow anyway. I just wish I had been able to coast through today without a problem. If not for my nosy supervisor friend... I would have made it too.

I compare it to running a big race... only to have someone you know walk out in front of the finish line to push you over before you make it. Trolls... not just on the internet anymore.

He'll get his... I have user rights on every computer in our network apart from the managers themselves. I think I'll just change his password to "UMadBro?" every day and force him to call the help desk to reset it every time. Probably not though... I'm not typically vengeful.

Fucking release the god damn phone already. I'm sorry but mastercard, visa, american express seem to use the same system, why can't google wallet, isis, and whatever else some fucking other company decides on, be used on the same phone? It's just bad bussiness, but considering i'm dedicated to them because I have the grandfathered unlimted data, i'm screwed. I would love a galaxy s2 skyrocket, but AT&T is a bullshit company that most customers hate, but are in the same boat as I am with Verizon. Horrible bussiness practices are horrible... And america strugles ever onward...
