I worked as a chef to get myself through college and in the two years I worked at the restaurant I worked at, I noticed that there were a number of people you will usually run into in a kitchen:

those are less "types" and more "specific people."

Seriously. What you have right there is the main and supporting cast of the next surprisingly good drama-sitcom. Perhaps call it "Aprons".

On another note, apparently my dad is his own business (computer repair, which he's a freaking wizard at), and I can apparently claim internship/work experience with him for the past three years now? I mean, yeah, I do household chores for him and the like, but hey, I'll take it!

I hope you realize that this is a huge national disaster, causing billions of dollars in damage, numerous deaths, and which will easily take the country years to fully recover from. There will probably be buildings in use for decades showing obvious signs of flood damage. The school Feba's attending has about 1000 students from all over the globe, primarily from Japan, Latin America, USA, western Europe, Korea, SE Asia, in that order. And that last group has gotten visibly smaller in the past few weeks-- the Thai student in my class left weeks ago, and other members of his clique I've been seeing less and less; I assume many of them have returned home as well.

But then I'm sure the first thing you thought about in the Sendai quake was how it would screw up video game and anime production, so you're pretty much going to hell anyway.

I've been fighting with Verizon for roughly a month now to get them to do something about the frequent connection disruptions I've been experiencing with my DSL. It's pretty clear they have absolutely no idea what they're doing. Now the connection has died completely.

On the bright side, this has given me time to finally finish Dragon Age and start some additional play-throughs now with mods.

Job centres. You have to walk into the job centre, have your picture taken, taken your National insurance details and drivers liscence then given a piece of paper to phone a number to have a telephone interview. Then they will give you an appointment time after a half hour interview to go back to the job centre to sit down with someone before they will even consider filling out the paperwork for any job seakers benefit.

seriously, what the fuck, I was wearing (hilariously oversized in retrospect but still) 4Xs a year ago.

oh, and also Taiwanese retailers usually just stock one length of pants, which is rather long, so if you're not pretty tall, you have to pay extra for the in shop tailor to hem them up for you. Luckily, I have Super White Guy Powers!!, which allow me to climb to the towering height of ABOUT 171CM (5'7"), defeating their petty money-grubbing tactics about half the time!!
