I have no specific reccomendations, because everyone's needs are different... but if you need suggestions, try going to TigerDirect.com and searching their fields. They have reliable feedback and fair prices. You can narrow down your search based on specs or you can follow their reccomendations. The only thing that I never seem to see with their specs is Motherboard/Processor compatability.

Sidenote: When you find the one you want that fits what you're looking for, make sure to double-check NewEgg.com for a price comparison. Those 2 are constantly in a price war. Usually Tiger comes out on top, but you can sometimes get $20-30 off by simply going with NewEgg prices.

Stay the hell away from Rosewill power supplies. I haven't really built enough PCs from scratch to offer much insight beyond that, but trust me when I say you don't want Rosewill powering your case.

Sorry for treating you like an infant. In the future. If you would not like the simple and widely known suggestions put on the table, you might want to try not to describe what you're looking for as "basic" as that usually suggests that your skill with said thing matches the same description.*

Are you trying to build the PC for Gaming or something else? I'll dig up more specific suggestions now that I know you're not among those who drool on themselves.

I think hypothetically I could make an opt-in group for bronies with its own system of ranks and titles but that would be kindof a lot of work. Besides, replacing all the campaign medals with the word pony would just be silly and lead to a lot of duplicates.
