How I feel every time I check the site after a flame war

Some days I just don't want to open a thread here. I feel sure that if I do I'll end up angrily disagreeing with someone over something that is ultimately not worth emotional investment. This is especially true if I see the last reply was made by certain people ...

You know, I just turned on the TV and saw Michelle Bachman again and instantly fell into a brief, but real depression of the prospect of somebody like her becoming a president. Especially now that her new mantra seems to be about sticking it to moderates.

I was gonna complain about 12 hour work days, but this seems more important.
