It's funny how so many people magically get sick and call out whenever there's a little rain out.

And guess who's on-call and has to cover it!

Damn, that sucks. Its raining here, and pretty windy at the moment. We have lost power a few times, but its come back on.

I gotta work today, but the last couple days have been the crappiest days in my life the past few months, and I feel like crap today. I don't feel like going to work, and such. Thinking of calling out for safety reasons due to high winds. I work in a gas station, and they already have two other people on at that time, I don't think they need a third, just like last night, which pissed me off. The manager of the store sucks at scheduling, even though they are nice guys.

So... Maybe caling out for safety reasons. Neither of my parents want to go out in this storm, and its supposed to get worse when I go to work. So yea.... Today isn't going to be great.

I tried to call in due to huricane Irene. I even said a state of emergency was issued. But since I live in california I was laughed off the phone and they told me they will see me when my shift starts. Why can't I get a state of emergency issued with all the damn earth quakes we get. I am starting to feel that the Earth is racist against people in California compared to the people from the east coast.

I am going to lodge my complaint with the department of space since they are every ware.

But... another peeve today.....

People are fucking retards!

The gas station I work at has no power, and we don't know when its going to be back on. I was called in to help clean up, and throw out the stuff that is supposed to be kept frozen/cold. I have no issue with that at all. Its some extra time, and some easy work.

Now, the gas station has a DD in it, with a drive through. The gas station is open for 24/7 usually, unless there is a power outage or something. Well, as I was out side cleaning the parking lot, I saw some one pull up to the drive through, and I thought that they would have realized that the place was closed and moved on. So, I continue sweeping the log for about 2-3 minutes. I turn the corner, and the car is still sitting there, with another car behind them. The guy is literally staring at the menue, and it is very obvious the power is out, so how did they expect to place their order?

Well anyways.... I walk up to the passenger window and tell them that the power is out, so his order can not be taken. He responds with; So, I pull up?. I say no, the DD people aren't in today, due to being unable to us the register, and guess what he says.... Yup, the same thing! So, I tell him that the power is out, the store is closed, and he can not have his order taken. After a few more seconds of back and forth, he gets pissed off, and drives off angry at me, for telling him that we have no power. The person behind him asks me if we are open inside, I tell her no, and she drives off and wishes me a good day.

So, I go and get cones to block off the entrance to the drive through, and the entrances/exits to the gas station. Now, most people usually go by, and don't enter the gas station. But then.... we have people who ignores the cones, and drives right past them, park infront of the store, and walk into the store asking if we are open. CAN YOU NOT SEE THE LIGHTS ARE OUT, OR THE FUCKING CONES!?!?!? I wanted to yell at the 50th person that did that today.

Then, there were people who actually went up to the pumps, and put in their card, and didn't get anything. Did I mention the pumps were taped off too? So, those people went inside the store, pissed off getting angry saying they better not get charged for gas they couldn't get.

Peeve: People who act surprised (even angry) when it's cart path only for a couple of days after getting nearly a foot of rain. I understand you are rich and are used to getting everything you want, but have a little sense.
