Ya, thats why I couldn't work at jobs like that eventually. I was a supervisor or forget it after being the butt boy when I was younger. lol I don't keep my mouth shut. I would have got in the persons face and told them straight out that we did the right thing and if you wanted to ream someones ass that you should go talk to <insert persons name here>.


And then promptly get fired. lol

Well I used to do that when I was in the Army. Because the worst they could really do was make me do push-ups. Now? Shit. I live paycheck to paycheck as it is, I surely don't need to lose my job.

Another coworker is transferring away from this property, which means that's another persons' job I have to do until we get a replacement. For those keeping count at home, I'm not doing 3 peoples' jobs. Wonderful.

When family turn their back on family. I am a lesbian and me and my gf are life partners, her family thought it be "the right" thing to do, to turn their backs on her especially since she is fighting a disease that will effect her for the rest of her life. They think we are sinners and deserve the lemons life hands us. Especially in a time when she needs support from her family the most.

I just dont see how people can be so cruel.

1. One of our cats died fairly suddenly late Thursday night/Christmas Eve morning. He was technically Mom's cat -- but I was his human. He was my faithful evening companion, always finding me wherever I settled for an evening of watching TV or playing video games.

2. I've had a cough lingering from a cold I had in the middle of November. Now I seem to have developed a brand new cold on top of the existing cough. Yippee.

3. Mom & I got Kindles for each other for Christmas. I can't get them to connect to our home wireless network (we're having the same problem with the Wii, and with DH's DSXL). I decided to bring them to work so I could take advantage of Coffee Bean's free WiFi. Went to Coffee Bean, bought a beverage (I'm not an internet moocher), and tried unsuccessfully for 45 minutes to connect the freakin' Kindles. No dice.

4. Asked DH to call the cable company to see why our router isn't allowing anything but my laptop to connect wirelessly. He just called to tell me that the password the cable company gave us last week wasn't the real password (no wonder the stupid thing wouldn't work). Now we supposedly have the real password & I'll try it when I get home. If it doesn't work, I'm going to break something.

5. Our daughter also has a cold/cough. Thanks to the combination of assholes who use Sudafed to manufacture crystal meth (thus making the stuff a controlled substance), and a disturbingly large number of people who couldn't follow dosing instructions on the packaging (thus causing FDA warnings & a severe disruption to the supply chain), it's next to impossible to find children's cold medicine with pseudoephedrine in it. For both DD and me, pseudoephedrine is pretty much the only decongestant that works. After calling five or six different pharmacies, I finally found ONE that carries the medicine. Now that I'm going to buy it for her, I'll be unable to legally buy the 12-hour sudafed I need for my own darn cold.

It's been a rough few days. The two bright spots were that (1) Christmas dinner came out quite yummy; (2) we beat either three or four Abyssea zone bosses on Sunday night.

And I would buy you some meds if we were nearby. Unfortunately, that means I would probably get sick as soon as I bought it thus making it not possible for me to buy meds for myself. XD

Heh - luckily there are two other adults in the house who can buy drugs. Mom's gonna have to buy a 2nd bottle of DD's cold medicine (she wants one bottle upstairs & one downstairs so she doesn't have to make the trek if she's on one floor with the sick kid & the medicine is on the other floor). DH has bought me my drugs before & he'll do it again.

I'm so glad we have other cats. Not that any of them could take Spot's place -- but at least there are a lot of furry little heads to scratch & bellies to rub (we had 6 -- now have 5). Losing furbabies sucks. Losing furbabies right before Christmas sucks even more. Thank heaven it was Thursday night rather than Friday night, though. Waking up to a furry corpse on Christmas morning would not have been ideal.

Blanket workplace rules that are in place because someone years ago took advantage of a good situation.

It's our company's policy that you don't get paid for a holiday if you call in sick the day before or the day after the holiday. I understand this rule was put into place to make sure people didn't turn long holiday weekends into longer holiday weekends at the company's expense. The problem is that if you really ARE sick, you have to come in before/after holidays in order to get paid.

I'm sitting here feeling fairly crappy -- sore throat, cough, runny nose, fever ... just to make sure I get paid for tomorrow. I had many of the same symptoms on Tuesday & was here so I'd be paid for last Friday (I had Monday off as part of my normal schedule). I called in sick yesterday 'cause I didn't need to be here. If it were a normal week (i.e. without a holiday), I'd be at home right now.

To all coworkers who come into contact with me today & wind up getting sick, I'm really sorry.

When my iPod dies during work. I'm pretty good at keeping it charged, but every once in a while I'll forget to hit the "lock" switch on it and something in my purse turns it back on and drains the battery over night.

Now I have to listen to my young coworker giggle at her boyfriend's IMs.

Retarded drivers day.

Not one or two, but three (yes three!) dumbasses that almost hit me in the same day and all before 3pm. Had I not been paying attention to other drivers I would've gotten ganked for sure.

Probably got (3x)1000xp and some Agility, Perception and Evasion skill out of it all.

The bonus round was a broken wooden crate inside a tunnel, which I had to manuever around test-drive style and waste 15-20 mins (warning others about it and stuff) while the police got there.


PS > Best part is I don't even remember ever having that many close calls in the same year, leave alone the same freaking day.
