Go to the job centre this morning at the time and date it tells me in the email. They couldn't find my name on the lsit, I showed them the email, he went away, came back 5 minutes later "I don't know why you were sent that, you r appointment is tomorrow at 9:20am not today" (even though the email said thursday 2rd September 2010 9:20am.

Oh and I saved hard knowing I was going to be out of work and guess what. Because I saved, the government will give me less money. so basically if you spend all your money on crap, drugs, alcahol, fags etc then the government will give you more money. If you scrimp and save for rainy day, you get fuck all. Work your life and pay taxes, you get treated like shit and get hardly any money. be a bum, do fuck all and they give you lots of money.... what kind of a picture do they paint here...

In California they'll sell you pot and pay you to do nothing.

Same here Jarre. I had a similar experience and I've talked with many others that have too. I was told straight out by a counselor (when I was very young) that I should not bother working so I could stay home with my daughter and collect WAY more for doing nothing. It was like he thought he just told me I won the lottery. I just couldn't see doing that since I was perfectly capable of working and had been since I was about 8 (on a farm, harvesting).

I sometimes work with icecream vendors, who tend to pay with A LOT of coins. Last week it was $2500 (aprox. 195.60 bucks) in 1 peso coins. But since it was part of a bigger payment I couldn't just turn the coins down.

Counting 2500 coins that day was soooo much fun. orz

Bah, the Jehovah's Witness got me good today. They sent an old man and its kind of hard for me to slam the door in the face of the elderly. It makes me feel bad. Plus they changed the name of the publication to Awake! I had time to flip it over while he wasn't looking to see watchtower.com on the back.

Oh well, something to read on the toilet.

New peeve: when I'm told that I don't "get" something, and then it's never explained to me. It's like some people get some sort of smug sense of superiority when they feel like they're being all esoteric and crap. Really, it's more annoying than anything.

I went to the grocery store last night. Eating healthy is EXPENSIVE. I mean, geez. Sure, I'm set on food for a couple of weeks, but still, it hurt my feelings. Sure, I could have gotten ramen and eggs and mac and cheese and walked out of there having spent $20 for the same period of time, but that's no way to eat. Fresh vegetables, nuts, lean cuts of meat? Expensive as hell. :/

Also, the kitchen here at work is just awful. I bought a large thermos to bring my own locally roasted coffee from home, because though the coffee here is free, 1.) It's Folger's, ew, and 2.) The kitchen and coffee maker are terrifying. But that added even more cost onto my bill for the trip. Still, the thermos was a one-off purchase. It'll last me for years. And the coffee really is SO much better. Also, because it's better, I don't have to put sugar or creamer into it.

The only other thing that's really bugging me right now is that I am STILL having sleeping issues. I can't seem to sleep without medicating myself, and even that's rough. And then when I wake up in the morning I'm all groggy and dehydrated. I'm hoping that kicking my workout routine up a notch or two will wear me out enough to sleep unaided.

Just treat yourself like an amusement park before you go to bed, works for me most of the time

Or just imagine you are doing a Dynamis run, you'll be falling asleep in no time.

I have. Doesn't seem to work for me. Unless I've already had a pretty exhausting day, and then it's hard to say if it's the melatonin or just being tired already.
