I went outside to smoke and came back to find them in my room. Awesome.

This is why I don't live with roommates anymore. I'd rather pay about double, have more room to myself, and be able to keep things organized. My first (and only) roommate would play my Gamecube (yeah, it was that long ago) with his friends and leave the controller wires in an absolute entangled mess, the games would be in the wrong boxes, etc. He would also blame me for some things that are dirty. Actually said to me, "Hey. If you pee on the seat, clean it up." HFUAFHUEAFAEFAF{facerollthekeyboard} I LIFT THE SEAT TO PEE, UNLIKE YOU, BITCH. >:| (And I make sure everything is all clean after.) Then the whole me being gay thing didn't sit well with him at all.

If, for some reason, I have to have a roommate, it will be female or boyfriend. I would rather live in a box on the street than live with another guy (that I'm not dating seriously.)

But, yeah... Just needed to get that out. Still makes me rage from all the drama he caused towards the end of our lease.

Well, double my current rent is still zero. So I really can't complain about that at least. I don't want to put down roots here (I suspect that some of my habitual shedding of things is part of that too), so this situation usually works out just fine.

I do pay half of all of the utilities I use and pay for groceries and stuff, so it's not a completely free ride. But it's better than I could afford downtown without living in a tiny shit hole.

Dude your roommate is being a total dick. Be sure to show him this. For fuck's sake, if you're taking it tomorrow, he can deal for one fucking day. Or you could get him to help you carry it to your car and leave it out there if it's such a huge goddamn deal.

BuyMeNow, or PayMeLater, whatever this service is called, is getting on my nerves. It's enabling me to purchase things I don't really need. This is the second time I've charged a bunch of stuff to it, aftering paying it all off the first time. I just bought another GTX 460, damn it. I don't need it, but I want the crap out of it. Now, I have it. Damn you!

But it's not the same in practice. To pay by credit card I have to pull my wallet out, locate the credit card, and read numbers and letters from it and then input them into the computer. There are several junctions where I can say fuck this. With this other service I only have to check a box.

Ah yes, BillMeLater...I owe them over a grand. Credit is an evil evil thing that few can stay away from. My son was all high and mighty about credit but then he tried to get a car loan without any credit history. DENIED! So he got himself a credit card, only a $400 limit but still enough to give you that bug. He preached up and down how he was going to buy and pay off every month, and he did....for a while. Now its at its limit of $400 and, before he went to Las Vegas, he said he had to get another card. What a great place to go to with a fresh credit card, hey? He said in case there was an emergency and he needed money....ooooooooook. I don't know what that card is up to but it did have a $3000 limit. I'm sure he's got a credit history now!

Situation from last night resolved, btw. Dropped the bags off at Goodwill this morning. Tonight after work, I'll start going through the boxes. I'm fairly certain I don't need or even want mos of that stuff.

Current Pet Peeve: My messenger bag sucks. I am in the market for something smaller, better constructed, etc. I've found a few bags I really like, but they are kind of pricey. So the search continues, meanwhile I have this piece of crap on my back every day. Ugh.

I'm actually at that point in my life right now. I'm not exactly sure what it's properly called but I have a card that's tied to my checking account and just use that. The credit card junk mail keeps piling up though so it might be time to start looking for one so I can have a credit history but I don't know what to look for at all. That whole industry smells fishy to me.

Ya I love my debit card. It limits me to the money I have at hand.

We started with a "emergency" credit card and ended up $100,000 in debt. Of course, this was the 70's and 80's when things were a lot different people so don't jump down my throat. Back then it was "always have more than your friends and neighbors cause thats cool" and "the economy is rockin so keep those credit cards knockin". So we were like a lot of other people and got in over our heads. (Add to this that I had quite a lucrative job, as did hubby, and was not expecting illness to take me out of the picture....not at that age!)

So we dug ourselves out of that and now with this economy and shit thats happened to us (medical bills mostly) we have dug ourselves another small crater. (Thankfully a LOT smaller but with the condition we are in being older, sicker, and retired, its just like the Hiroshima crater we were in previously.)

Credit cards are WAY too easy to fall back on. They lull you with a sense of security and then smack you upside the head later on. Why buy a game because its on sale when, if you don't pay in full as soon as the CC bill comes and let interest accrue, you'll end up paying more than the game goes for at full retail price?
