Come on. It's Monday. The only day when volume out the door matters (really) is Friday. I'd rather shit goes out right, not quickly.

Middle management subscribes to neither common sense, logic or employee morale.

I am unsure if you are temping, but if you are, then they're going to want the most bang for their minimum wage buck.

I was mealy pointing out the amusement I had reading it and my english brain auto translating it to how we refer to it. Its the same how you americans are amused at some of our words and says and point it out to us.

So we're finishing up our work today, the three of us on our team. Me, annoying incompetent bitch (AIB), and weird new guy (WNG). We had another coworker who volunteered to help because she finished her work early, which is fine, as long as I can still get my hours.

So our supervisor comes in and says we have to be done by 2:30. That's fine, I have no problem with that. It's 2 PM when she says that. I work to pace to finish by 3 most days, but I picked up my pace to pick up the slack. That's beside the point, though. I got through about 250 in that half hour, and just as I'm finishing up my pile (I had about 10 left), our helper asked what else we had. At this point, we're right at 2:30 but we had so little left that the supervisor was gonna let us just finish it out. I started to say that WNG had about 30 left and to grab some of his, but AIB jumped in and said, "You can do the rest of mine!" AIB had about six left. Six takes less than two minutes, for one, and obviously, it made more sense to split up the work between the four of us.

Anyway, so AIB hands helper the rest of her work and then proceeds to start clearing off her desk, like we were done. She starts packing up her bag to go! Meanwhile, WNG is still working on that pile of his (down to 25ish at this point) so as helper and I were finishing up our little bits we had left, we grabbed some of that work off of WNG's desk and split it to finish it up. AIB is still fucking cleaning off her desk.

Oh, I lit her the fuck up. See, I come in at 7, and they come in at 8. If we're not done by the target time, we carry it over for the next day. I did not want to come in at 7 and finish up that little bit of work to pick up for her fucking lazy ass. And I said as much, "Oh, just gonna pack up? Me, and WNG and helper - who's helping us out and this isn't even her fucking job - are finishing up so there's nothing to carry over until tomorrow and you're just gonna put your shit away? Really?" Supervisor was back there, too, and she heard me lay into her. Later, I would go apologize to the supervisor for my tirade, but I did say that it had really pissed me off. The nerve!!! AIB went to the bathroom, apparently oblivious to what I was saying about her stupid ass, and the three of us still were finishing up the last little bit. I kept on talking to helper about how fucking shitty that was. I was livid.

After all that, we got done, AIB had come back from the bathroom while I was relaying this to my friend, and I made sure she fucking heard me. She was standing right by my desk after I finished, and I said very rudely, "Excuse me." so I could get to my damn desk and get the fuck out of there. If she says anything to me tomorrow about it I will first go off on what a lazy piece of shit she is, and then I will tell her to not speak another fucking word to me for as long as we both work there.

What gets me is that it pisses her off when other people call her lazy. If you don't want to be called lazy, Don't do lazy shit. You know, for a long time, I put up with her. She is annoying as hell and mediocre at best at the job, but I gave her the benefit of the doubt because she seemed to at least be trying. Well any little last bit of respect I had for her is now gone. You just don't do shit like that. Especially when someone was helping - instead of just going home, she stayed to help us out - and then to pawn your work off on her? Even though it really wasn't that much ... that's not the goddamn point.

If she does anything else that pisses me off, I'm going straight to the manager. I'm tired of this shit. My job is not that fucking hard, people like her should not be making it such a drag.

I shouldn't know where you are three minutes before you get there, and shouldn't be able to tell you've been somewhere three minutes after you leave. You make it difficult for me to breathe sometimes.

Some are allergic to that crap... hence it's not allowed to be used to a great extent by the employees where I work. But yet my manager is above the law.

We have those too... cuz technically they aren't supposed to hire people that smoke according to clinic policy... but that ain't gonna happen. Most seem to bathe tho... I can't imagine not bathing. It's better at waking me up than caffeine.

I'd rather deal with some scented products than the B.O. they're covering. We have one guy who douses himself whenever he's trying to hide the scent of booze -- but everyone knows that if he reeks of cologne, he must be hammered. Does he really think he's fooling people?

Same as people who wear comb overs ... they are so firmly holding to a belief that if they cover it up, it must not be happening. Meanwhile, everyone else knows.

We've had some people wearing heavy perfume come through our department before. It makes me wheeze. I am quite allergic. I've been asked why I go into coughing fits, and I'll tell them. "Your perfume is extremely strong, and I have allergies. Please consider wearing less of it in the future."

As much as it stinks, I'm not allergic to BO. Lol
