Women in the office who talk too goddamn much.

I have to deal with this where I work. I'm surrounded by women. I work with more motherly and sisterly types that I just have learned to stfu and hardly do I ever interject or attempt devil's advocate even in jest. It amazes me how much they b!tch about their men. Thing is I've noticed they feed each other's fire as well. They rile themselves up so much. I feel as though I'm in an episode of "Scared Single".

Everywhere I've worked when there's lots of men, we don't b!tch about our girls. Sure, we joke about things that proly aren't even a reality but we reserve b!tching "for realsies" about our relationships for the first 15min at the bar (or less) then it's done and we move onto other subjects.

Our boss loves the drama too. She feeds off it. She actually starts a good deal of it. She pits people against each other for her entertainment.

I can't wait to move on from this place... bad economy to do so atm though.

Ok, most of the bitching women do is just to vent their frustration. It's kind of like your boss pissing you off and you are griping about it, then someone steps in to play devils advocate....well, at that time, it's not what you want to hear. That pretty much applies to women kavetching about men.

I will concede there is alot to bitch about when it comes to men. Same can be said about both sexes though.. and I've stopped trying to defend either of them. Head in the sand... keeps head low for it may get blown off the shoulders.

When my iPod battery dies at work and it's being used as the primary means of tuning out the annoying bitch. There's always somebody nearby with a charger I can borrow but the half hour of time where I have to listen to her endless prattering makes me want to cut my ears off. Also, the fact that I can be listening to very loud rock music at a high volume (yes, loud music turned up loud) and that she will practically scream at me to get my attention for some inane thing that has absolutely nothing to do with work. Is it that difficult to understand that the reason I listen to my music as loudly as I do is so that I don't have to talk to you?

Oh, and people who don't turn right on red and cockblock me in the process.

Aks, I picked up an iPod battery at a local goodwill for fifty cents. Oversized for my nano (looks like it was made for a pretty big video ipod or something like that), but works.

Plenty of external batteries out there for iPod. Or get one of those things that you plug the USB charger in that just holds AAs or something.

That reminds me, we need more fucking AAs. I swear to god, we buy the bulk packs, and the first 6 or 8 go slowly, and then mom just eats the rest of them or some shit. I'm beginning to suspect things about stuff.

I do this with my husband. He blathers on and on about shit no one wants to hear so in go the headphones. He still yell or tap me on the shoulder so I just told him straight out "when I'm wearing my headphones, I'm not in the mood for conversation so please leave me alone". Just tell her and if she persists just totally ignore her.

Oh god... I HATE when people do this when I am riding my bike (Not motocycle, I don't own one lol), and almost hit me as I am crossing the street.

Those things are specifically designed to get lost, I swear.

Case in point, there were four AAs in this charger in the living room. Two of them ran off, that I was later able to have explained as my brother using them for his 360 controller. The other two disappeared without any such explanation.

We have a charger in the bathroom that holds 4 AA or AAA batteries. Right by the outlet where they charge is a drawer, so when they are done I unplug the entire unit and plunk it in the drawer. That way we know where the charged ones always are. The problem is the used ones....my son will plunk them on his desk and I swear to god it eats them! So I totally understand! lol

Waiting around for people. No matter what the reason is, could be waiting for family to stop by, waiting for something to be delivered, etc. I had to wait around all day today because a new fridge was supposed to be delivered at 12pm. I didn't receive a call telling me that it won't be here until tomorrow, until 5pm.

Cockblock in the uk is a descriptive turn for a lesbian (cockblocker) or to describe a women holding off on you when you want a shag. I.e. "She cockblocked me"

And the way you describe it is closer to a mistake, if anything; it's used to describe something that comes between your cock and its target, not someone just turning you down.

Her usage is perfectly fine; it's a non-literal use of a word. If you demand cold precision, you're perfectly welcome to go back to German.
