I don't mean to get off subject about our next president but..about the video games, I was always allowed to play any game I wanted since I was able to pick up a video game controller. No, I'm not saying I was a spoiled brat lol I was far from that I never asked for games but my father always picked up games for himself to play, like Tekken, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil, Gran Theft Auto. My parents never said to me "No, you cant play that it's too bad of a game" or anything like that and I have to say at the age of 17 I'm a pretty mature person. Who is the manager of a gamestop or any regular employee there to say "You shouldn't buy call of duty 4 for your 11 year old son"? Or to even be agry about it at that. I said 11 because my younger brother is that age and hes going about playing video games the same way I did..playing my Call of Duty 4 whenever he pleases. He doesn't go to school and pretend to shoot kids it the head with a sniper rifle. When it comes down to it its all about the kids maturity level. When I went to buy CoD4, I had to bring my mother in! I have a goatee! That at least proves I went through puberty! Jesus..give me a break. I think the the ages required to buy Mature and Teen rated games should be lowered.

I'm the same way actually. My parents were shocked that I picked up on pretty well everything in FF7 (I was 12 at the time I think?).

But our cases are the exception to the rule though. Parents should follow and enforce the ESRB ratings, while taking into account the relative maturity of your kids. They're there as a guide line, not a hard rule but you also can not bitch about these games warping kids when you ignore said ratings.

I mean, if an 8 year old girl sees say Predator, and is scarred by it. Is it the movie maker's fault for creating such a violent film? Hell no. Same thing with video games and music.


Back on topic, HRC is now saying that she is the under dog and that Barack is the "Establishment Candidate" because of all the endorsements he got.

I would disagree. I think kids that are allowed to watch what they want are the majority. The problem is that the minority of overprotective parents speak very loudly. It's also a matter of kids not being responsible in what they watch/play. The only censorship that should be needed is the censorship you provide for yourself, and I'm proof that that can be done even by a little kid.

According to polls (yes, I know they're extremely unreliable, but there's not much of a better way to show it) something like 95% of the population has no problem with voting for a female president. Something just barely under that has no problem voting for a black president.

Yes, it's possible someone will try to assassinate him, but look at GWB-- he's got a majority of the country against him, considered by a majority to have committed major crimes, and nobody has even made an attempt on him (at least, as far as the public has been told)
