I want Obama to be our next president but..I think if he does become our next president, I think he would be assassinated. I know, its a bad thing to say but look at all the racism we still have in this country against blacks in 2008. Its ridiculous, I cant even go on youtube and watch a Hip-Hop video without any racist comments being left. I even noticed some racism in this thread, I've just started to ignore it while on the internet.

As long as Clinton aligns herself with people like Joe Lieberman and Jack Thompson in pushing for federal game regulation I simply can't support her and the potential censorship of the video game format. With her given more power, there'd be a greater chance that games would be rated with extreme bias and we'd see more games forced into AO ratings, which simply aren't good for the industry. If I want a future in the industry, that's a big concern for me.

That's one thing I about Obama. He's opposed to censorship, he believes firmly in giving tools to parents and having them teach proper values.

Assuming they wouldn't let them go to an R rated movie (which they shouldn't) they need to learn that a game is no different. I very much agree with thompson in that GTA is bad for kids, but it's not marketed to them either.

You want to do something about it Jack, PREACH TO THE GOD DAMN PARENTS TO BETTER MONITOR AND RAISE THEIR KIDS! those labels from the ESRB are there for a reason!

i can say something, as a Manager at GameStop i check Id every rated M game i sell. You will be shocked how many parents let there 8 year old son play call of duty4, Devil may cry 4, halo3, GTA. Its fucking sad. I tell them its like a rated R movie, they say its just a game.

Funny story, the Toys 'R Us near my campus recently pulled Mass Erect and refuses to sell them for the moment because a woman complained that she bought it for her son for Christmas, and was raging about the media crap the game's been getting recently. These aren't the kind of people I want influencing what games can and can't be sold. It's surprising how many people fail to realize that most if not all (does the Wii?) consoles this generation have parental lock features.

But then they would have to be parents and deal with the kid (who they already spolied) doing the tantrum for the game. >_<

And zomg having to explain their kid the difference between fiction and reality so kids don't think they are inside a video game and go on a killing spree is out of the question. I mean kids have to raise themselves, parents just have them to justify getting a big SUV. <_<

I would definitely vote for him if I were a Democrat. I'm afraid he would get assassinated if he did get voted in though... Nice vid. However, I'd hate to see him get backed by people (especially these famous faces) because he's black instead of because he deserves it.

Well, I think just about anyone that gets voted in this year is going to have a good chance of being a major target. It's just an incredibly sensitive period, and a lot of people are going to be pissy if they don't get their way.

Honestly, I think folks are maybe worrying about that a bit too much. Maybe I'll be proven wrong, but in my experience, both parties (and those who insist that they aren't part of either) are looking for change. There isn't nearly as polarized a public opinion as there was in the last election.

^_ ^ Barack = Unstopable. More polls etc done today showing him winning in the general election (with Hilary losing to Mc Cain) and he just won an award last night for the audio version of his book, "The Audacity of Hope".


Been meaning to get a copy of it along with Jack Cafferty's "It's Getting Ugly Out There."

That guy is perhaps the single greatest, most credible mind over at CNN and IMO a total authority on this stuff. The guy tells it like it is, is pretty much right all the time, and just plain pwns :D
