    Re: Yes We can

Hillary proved she isn't presidential when she openly criticized Pakistan's current government as oppressive shortly after Benazir Bhutto's death. You do NOT openly say things like that to an important ally. The rest of the world is watching, because they care about who gets elected just as much as we do. All the more reason why I think Obama would be an excellent president... he is a fantastic speaker, and I think it would do well with improving our currently damaged relations with much of the world.

Hillary's fear-mongering "think of the children" approach towards videogames, joining in the videogame violence bandwagon with the likes of Jack Thompson & company didn't help her much in my book, either.

      ... I hadn't caught any of that!

All the more reason for me to dislike her. Obama only said that people should put them away (to study), but if she's in league with Jack...

Malacite, I think it's important to note here that things tend to evolve towards what works. Look at computer GUIs, for example, a lot of times extremely similar functions will come out of completely different people with no relation to each other. It can have the appearance of stealing if one hits the market first, however a lot of times it's just the next logical step.

Show me somebody who can give me a decent simple random sample in this situation, and I'll show you God.

              They don't.

I've always likened a Statistician to a Black Mage, because they're both intelligent, both wield potentially very powerful knowledge, but, at the same time, depending on the situation, all their "spells" in the world wouldn't mean a thing.

              Kinda dumb, I know, but . . .

                  Re: Yes We can

Aside from any commentary on platforms or other things, Hilary's eyes frighten me to death. There is something not right about that woman's eyes. Something in them is off. Majorly off.

                  But as to the topic:

Mostly I consider myself 'conservative' but I'm actually kind of hoping Obama gets the Democratic nomination as well as the presidency.

Actually it's only around 69 now, her lead is almost gone, and while he's probably not going to take Texas he's expected to win in Virginia and DC.

                      EDIT:

Barack Obama | Change We Can Believe In | Results

There are the numbers (not counting super delegates I believe since CNN's numbers are higher and do in fact count them)

                      Obama: 910

                      Clinton: 882

You never answered my question earlier, so I'm going to ask it again. What experience does Clinton supposedly have that Obama doesn't? This question is posed to you specifically, because I think you're regurgitating an anti-Obama talking point.

She has Bill Clinton on her side that was President for 8 years. she also has experence in the senate and fighting the drug companys.

                          here is some more info

She began her career as a lawyer after graduating from Yale Law School in 1973, moving to Arkansas and marrying Bill Clinton in 1975, following her career as a Congressional legal counsel; she was named the first female partner at Rose Law Firm in 1979 and was listed as one of the one hundred most influential lawyers in America in 1988 and 1991. She was the First Lady of Arkansas from 1979 to 1981 and 1983 to 1992, was active in a number of organizations concerned with the welfare of children, and was on the board of Wal-Mart and several other corporate boards.

As First Lady of the United States, she took a prominent position in policy matters. Her major initiative, the Clinton health care plan, failed to gain approval by the U.S. Congress in 1994, but in 1997 she helped establish the State Children's Health Insurance Program and the Adoption and Safe Families Act. She became the only First Lady to be subpoenaed, testifying before a federal grand jury as a consequence of the Whitewater scandal in 1996. She was never charged with any wrongdoing in this or several other investigations during her husband's administration. The state of her marriage to Bill Clinton was the subject of considerable public discussion following the Lewinsky scandal in 1998.

Moving to New York, Clinton was elected to the United States Senate in 2000, the first time an American first lady ran for public office and the first female senator from that state. There she initially supported the George W. Bush administration on some foreign policy issues, which included voting for the Iraq War Resolution. She has subsequently opposed the administration on its conduct of the Iraq War and has opposed it on most domestic issues. She was re-elected by a wide margin in 2006.

                          Obama

A graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, Obama worked as a community organizer, University of Chicago lecturer, and civil rights lawyer before running for public office and serving in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004. After an unsuccessful bid for a seat in the U.S. House of Representatives in 2000, he announced his campaign for U.S. Senate in 2003.

The following year, while still an Illinois state legislator, Obama delivered the keynote address at the 2004 Democratic National Convention.[5] He was elected to the U.S. Senate in November 2004 with 70% of the vote.[6] As a member of the Democratic minority in the 109th Congress, Obama co-sponsored legislation for controlling conventional weapons and for promoting transparency in public life; in addition, he made official trips to Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In the 110th, and current, Congress, he has sponsored legislation on lobbying and electoral fraud, climate change, nuclear terrorism, and care for returned U.S. military personnel.

Since announcing his presidential campaign in February 2007, Obama has emphasized ending the Iraq War, increasing energy independence, and providing universal health care.

                          Enjoy

So being married to someone makes you qualified for a position?

Wow. I should go tell my aunt that she can fix F-15s. I bet she'd be very excited to hear that.

Should also tell my grandmother to get into construction and my grandfather to start cutting hair.

                            This is very good news.
