We’ve got tons to offer! For instance, just the other day I assembled a chair from Ikea, and it only wobbles a tiny bit when you sit on it. Also, I’m frequently asked to kill insects. I think we men have a bright future.
The chair issue...well we can train monkeys to do that. But the insect thing....ya...just may need to keep you around for stuff like that. LOL

Seriously, stuff like that scares me. Should we really be messing around with evolution? Throw the entire religious aspect into it also and I think there will be an uproar. Let's not forget that men still "rule the roost" so to say, so I'm not too worried about putting you all on the endangered species list...........yet.

How long until the S.C.U.M. Manifesto makes a resurgance?

Hopefully about the same time NAMBLA is mainstreamed and legitimized. ...in my book, that would be, um...never.

Now see, if they had gone with NAMGLA instead, they'd be a few thousand times more popular.

                        I have a question though...

Due to the fact that males possess the X/Y Chromosome that determines gender, would female couples only be able to produce female children?

Meh, I was completely useless long before this.
I use a Mac because I'm just better than you are.

Give science enough time and I'm sure it won't be too much of an issue to create a male sperm. I am very much behind this research, not only does it give homosexual female couples the chance to have children but it also brings life to the aspect of children to far many other individuals. For example, men who are sterile will also benefit from this process as their normal cells could be created into the sperm cells that they so desire to have. Many normal couples could finally enjoy having kids, and I hope they eventually work on the same thing for developing egg cells. Granted, I am a little set back by this process and wonder about the implications or just exactly how this will truly merge its way into society, but at this point, it is really still a ways off. Just because they can create something doesn't mean that it is at a point on par with that of the natural process (one out of the 7 mice died and the other six had health problems), which will be a huge roadblock to jump over, larger than they are describing it to be.

While I'm behind the research, that's because I'm firmly behind anything that will increase our scientific and technological abilities that is not very dangerous (such as creating a supervirus)

As far as the social uses, though, I don't think this is so good: while this does allow people to have 'biological' children where it would've otherwise been impossible, it would be far better to adopt a child instead.
