  • What's the significance of your avatar?

    Haven't seen one of these in a while, tell us where your avatar comes from and what it means.

    Mine is simple, it's my babies, sleeping together on a plane.

    It's a cell phone pic, believe it or not.

      Mine is the awesomeness of Ace Attorney, and the hilarity of playing the first one post-300. XD

      Believe (I keep spelling that "belive," then Firefox gets me) it or not, mine is a cell phone picture, as well.

          Re: What's the significance of your avatar?

          It's my FFXI character, in PLD artifact armor. (Duh.) It was made by a friend and LS mate. Was created back in the days when I was really excited about my PLD, and thought I'd become the second high level PLD in our small (well, small back then) LS.

          These days, RDM meriting takes all my free time, and the avatar is a daily reminder I should get back to my PLD70. heh. Love the job, but hard to justify spending time on it when the LS already has three PLD75's and another PLD73. Going to level it to 75 anyway--after I do the Savage Blade WSNM.

          * * *

          I think someone on KI stole it and is using it as his avatar; makes me frown, for some reason. Meh.

          yet not a mote of dust is stirred;
          Moonlight pierces the depths of the pond,
          leaving no trace in the water.

            obvious.

            Although I agree, Ita. I once found someone on the windower forums using my old avatar. The hilarious part? They didn't even bother to remove the "Feba" logo from it. I laughed hard.

                  <------Japanese symbol meaning "sky" or "heaven."

                  I came across it during a Google image search of Gouki of Street Fighter fame. The character wore it as his own personal banner, and as such symbolizing himself as "Heavenly" or, more accurately, "beyond human."

                  Yes, there is indeed more than a little narcissism in my choice of avatar.

                        Mine is not very significant at all.

                          You know, this may come as surprising to you, but not everybody is familiar with the awesomeness that is xkcd.

                          Or, for that matter, the particular reason that particular velociraptor decided to particularly attack at that particular moment.

                          Particle physics? Naw, I think it was a goto.

                            YM: It doesn't need to be in context.

                            In fact, it's slightly more fun without it.
