I could toss up a Wall of Text expounding the many reasons I hate Naru with a passion (I can't even be remotely attracted to her image, I hate the character that much), but I'll summarize them all with this sentence:


"I'd much rather Keitaro become a pedophile and hook up with Shinobu than bear to suffer through the series and watch him and Naru hook up just to conform to the 'fated, marketable couple' theme, especially after the way she treats him."

Yeah... Naru Narusegawa earns 5 out of 5 Cyclone Lasers to the face for her shit.

Moving on... Vandread. Watch it! Good-natured humor on a "what if?" scenario involving what would happen if the men and women of Earth had to separate, yet the species somehow managed to survive (basically become two separate sub-races of humans), and the results of them coming back into contact with each other. Also, with big-ass robot fun tossed in. Bonus: the robots must be co-piloted with a man and a woman together, often putting them into a compromising position as part of the proper piloting technique. Lawlz ensue.

I never got a chance to finish the series, unfortunately. A lot of shit kept popping up that wouldn't let me finish it. It's been a few years since then, but I really liked the series.

Go ahead and spoil it for me, since I'll never watch the series: did Keitaro and Naru actually ever end up getting together, or did they do the Tenchi Muyo status quo thing, and Kei never ends up with any of them, preferring to just stay friends (or in this case, a punching bag)? I read the wiki on it, and it seemed rather inconclusive to me.

That's the one thing that pisses me off about harem animes: they never really resolve anything. Like ever. Tenchi really gets me about that a lot. Enjoyable set of series, it's just I wanna bop the guy on the head for being such a flake at times when it comes to the girls.

Yar, but thats what makes Tenchi Muyo, Tenchi Muyo. Majority of harems have an end result couple. Yet, the fact of they didn't go with that on Tenchi makes it so great. Fan base wise, it opens the doors for Fan-fic, tmffa.org, and fan art of what fans would love to see who and how.
Honestly, if I don't count Sailor Moon, Tenchi was the first anime for me, heh, Toonami ftw! So <.<; I will fight fang and claw to defend it! >.>;
