I mean, do people think "I'd like to play this game, but I'd like to be bad at it."?

I honestly believe some people must think that. Judging by the sheer idiocy I've seen that crosses game and genre lines.

The Acrotecher with level 11 buffs (yeah, ok, getting to 31 takes ages, but 21 is quick). The guy in the damn Jungles at level 30 still wearing lvl 18/20 gear, and wondering why he's getting beaten to a pulp, and when you explain it, doesn't want to believe you.

I mean, it could be selfishness, but how can they even enjoy the game when they're being destroyed insanely fast? That seems to me it'd kill the enjoyment, or at least persuade me to invest in better gear or to keep my spells up. If you're not having fun, it's kinda a waste of money. Those monthly fees add up.

I have to say there are some online games that I play and ROYALLY suck at. Does it hamper my enjoyment? Nope, because I'm not out there to be the biggest and the baddest. Does it hamper other people's enjoyment? Oh hell ya! They don't want me for a team member thats for sure. lol Do I care? Nope, thats just me being selfish. I get totally DESTROYED in UT3, Halo3, Warhawk, etc. and I get called every name in the book. But I'm having fun sucking and laughing at myself so I just let it roll off my shoulders. So ya, some of us don't care if we suck...we actually have fun at it! LOL

Also, there is a fine line between someone sucking cause they do and someone sucking on purpose. Some people do it just to annoy others and try to make it seem its because they lack the knowledge. I just suck....cause I do! And also because I get motion sickness and that certainly doesn't help your aim!! lol

I suck cuz I just do at any shooter. I love RE but can't play it to save my life. Zombies eat me. I think it's mostly because they bore me (with the exception of RE) so I don't put any real effort into them and only play when more or less cajoled into it.

I meant more the people doing it on purpose. Eventually you'd think they'd bore themselves... It's only funny to wipe people so many times. I get bored easily. I couldn't be a griefer if only because I'd put myself to sleep.

I'm not cut out for repetitive jobs. Like XI. :p So it beat-ed me and then I cried and called domestic abuse and quit.

You'd laugh your butt off if you watched me play RE games (Silent Hill too, it just makes me squeal). I have a "neck" issue. Ever since I was a teen and read Salem's Lot by Stephen King, I've had issues with things that bite my neck. lol So when I play RE they can't bite me or I got into spazzes screaming "NO NO ICK ICK ICK!!" and then I'll have to quit for a while cause I have the willies. lol My son gets such a kick out of it.....and I bet RE Chronicles for the Wii is under the damn tree for me too! ><

I like that feeling. Wondering if something is going to get me or not, or knowing something is on my heels, it's pleasurable in the right amounts and right situations because it isn't something you feel everyday, like pain. Some pain just plain feels good.

Some pain can become escape that its nothing more than pleasure when it happens. Nothing more than a way to adapt to life. Always pain around, redirect it to feel good. That or some people are so isolated or out there that pleasure and pain are nothing more than breathing.

Another possibility is that emotional scarring caused by some event or lack of event made it so that the only reason why a person would seek to injur oneself, or have someone to do the deed, is to have a way of knowing they are alive.

Note, by pain, its either emotional, physical or spiritual.

I think it's more intolerance for those who choose to follow, or not follow, a religion, on both sides of that argument.

I actually said all I had to say on it, really. I didn't have much else to add, so I went random.

I'm very tolerant religion wise. I've got pagans, atheists, agnostics, Jewish, and many other kinds of friends. I find the differences in religions (or the lack thereof) fascinating. I love discussing it with them.

I don't think any one religion is bad, short of those dunces that 'willingly' serve 'evil.' Satanists, Black Magic users in Wicca, and so on. But those people usually have underlying psychological issues anyway.

There's been atrocities committed by most any religion, but I don't think that's a good reason to off them all. I find the diversity in people to be their beauty.

Religious or not.

Now, how 'bout them barrels? :p (j/k)
