God I love the pythons have all the DVD's, met Micheal Palin and Neil innes (the idiot song on hollywood bowl and also co-rote a few songs) and another thing they were british! i still stand by my argument that we gave the best comedy shows and comedians during 1960-2000 period (then it went down hill)

Yeah, I've had a team working on this over the past few weeks, and what we've come up with can be reduced to two fundamental concepts. One: People aren't eating enough hats. Two: Matter is energy. In the universe there are many energy fields which we cannot normally perceive. Some energies have a spiritual source which act upon a person's soul. However, this "soul" does not exist ab initio as orthodox Christianity teaches; it has to be brought into existence by a process of guided self-observation. However, this is rarely achieved owing to man's unique ability to be distracted from spiritual matters by everyday trivia.

Narrowly avoided a bullet on that one, too: I had just finished a rant that took a condiserable amount of time to type, and I'd hate for it to be majorly overlooked.

I could rant, but I'm in the middle of a blessed 4 day stretch of days off and don't want to get too angry.

I'll sum it up with apathy and self-centered-ness. I work retail. I know there's times when the employees are rude and whatever, ok. But *I* am never rude to anyone, and what gets my goat is people like this:

*lady walks in*
Tel: "Hello! How are you today?"
woman: "..fine." (snappy tone, there)
Tel: "Is there anything special I can help you with?"
woman: "No. Do I need something special to be shopping here?"
Tel: "Um.. no. I just thought I could help if you did."
woman: "Well I'm fine!"

....yeah, here's the thing. If my corporate didn't make me talk to you, sweetie, I wouldn't, but they do, kk? So lets all just be good actresses and pretend we're civil, okie dokie?

Then there was the bitch that chewed out my ass't manager and made her *cry*. That seriously pissed me off. Carol was bending over backwards to help this lady, but the woman went *apeshit* because the rounders were a little 'too close' and BAAAAAAWWWW. That woman was making even the other customers feel uncomfortable. Two or three of them offered to file a complaint against the woman if only to help us since we couldn't do anything ourselves.

Carol is, no exaggeration, one of the sweetest people I have ever come in contact with. To see someone unleash their lame ass mood on someone like that crawls all over me in very bad ways. I wanted to break her fucking neck. But we can't even defend ourselves, no, we just have to stand and take it. Verbal and emotional abuse that would get legal action pulled down were it your spouse, but since it's a customer, you just have to bend over and take it up the ass.

I hate people. Working retail made me really see how utterly selfish the vast majority of society is. I like certain individuals, but by and large when I see people these days, I just want to get away from them. I don't want to be made to feel bad, or drug down because they think they need company in their anger.
