I've gotten better at flying. I've had three or four lucid dreams lately, and managed to fly feet off the ground in all of them. Even managed to do some flips and rolls and such. Also managed to fly higher than my house, which is fairly tall.
Today I had what quite possibly was the best Lucid Dream I've ever had. I can't remember too much of it, but I remember very clearly that it was very clear, and I was very much in control of it. I managed to walk downstairs, and even outside, without waking up (which I can't do a lot of the time)
I really wish I could remember more of it-- I remember nothing particularly interesting happened except me testing to see what powers I had, but it was also pretty long.
Some things I do remember:
- Flying around outside the house, got pretty high and did some flips and stuff for fun.
- I looked in the pantry, since I'd never got the chance to see what people were talking about when they said you couldn't read in a lucid dream. At first, they all looked like strange glyphs, but then I realized it was in fact English, and I could read it, although the labels were very odd.
- I made something appear by thinking about it, although I can't remember what.
I also think I had a false awakening afterwards, because when I woke up I did a number of RCs (more than usual) before I decided I wasn't dreaming.
In regards to reading in your dreams: Totally possible, lucid or not.
I remember reading signs on buildings and such from a dream years ago. Now, like Feba said, it was weird, and I remember in mine the lettering on the building looked like a 5 year olds handwriting, but it was still legible as English. That episode of Batman the Animated Series lied.

Heheh, I fly way better than you even though I've had way less lucid dreams.
How so? I fly pretty damn well now, apparently. I've started being able to get off the ground more than a few inches, and do flips. Actually, come to think of it, my flying is pretty close to what (admittedly little) I've seen of NiGHTS.
It's not like I tried to fly much higher or longer, if that's what you're talking about. I was trying to see what I could do in my dreams. It wasn't a very focused dream.
One in particular was rather freaky. It was the first time I ever died in a dream, and when I woke up I wasn't sure if I was actually dead or if I was still alive.
Another was very odd. I was driving some sort of vehicle, I suppose a go-cart would be the closest comparison to something real, and I drove off a cliff. Then, for some weird reason, I started falling upwards.

Really, it's just like pretty much every question about this game that begins with "Why." The answer is "Because."

A subjob is like sex, you shouldn't have it untill your 18 but if you don't have it after 21 everyone laughs at you.
Regardless, dreams just aren't something guys discuss.
I'm sorry you are so insecure in your masculinity that you feel the need to make up arbitrary rules of 'manhood', but the rest of us aren't, so kindly fuck off.
Whenever i fly in my dream i dont really fly so much as jump really high...and sorta glide. Only on few rare occations have i ever maintained flight. And i always end up running away from someone or something before resorting to flying. I never just fly for fun.
As for falling dreams i've had tons. The coolest one was i was on this futuristic skate/hover board and i was skating in my three story school(?!) and i was jumping from rails to rails when everything went back and i died just like when you fall in water in Jet Set/Grind Radio (/Future).
I like pie........no seriously.. i do.

It's not a pizza. It's a bomb.
We didn't order a bomb either.

Do you ever feel like there is a force trying to bring you down while you are flying? Like you have to really concentrate in order to stay up high? I usually get that while I'm flying. I feel a pull and I have to concentrate on my flying quite a bit in order to stay up.

Ya, I'm always flying away from something or to something. Like its important that I go fast and get away or that I go fast and get there fast. I do fly for long periods of time (or so it seems ^^) and I go very high, even over mountain tops (that usually when I'm cold because I don't have covers over me!) but my flying always has a purpose.

But I mean I do not mind a good looking man so long as I do not have to view his penis.

God I hate my periods. You think passing a clot through a vagina is bad? Try it with a penis.

Not really, TGM. I wouldn't say it's like weightlessness, but it doesn't really take any effort.

You should go to a website on Lucid Dreaming and look up Reality Checks and how to do them. Not only will performing them on a regular basis greatly increase the amount of lucid dreams you have, but it's also a great way to be sure you're awake.
Which can be really useful when you're about to try to fly.
