Starting a project, have a few Questions

Hello I'v been working on some templates for some samurai armor out of cardbord, I was origanally going to make one out of such for the fan festival, but I'v been playing around with metal and I think I could make a real set of samurai armor, at least the body piece. The fan festival wont allow it, but I think it would be a great project.

So anyways, i'v been googling and looking around in wiki alot. Dose anyone know of the names of the knots they use on the scabbards, the part that's near the entry for the sword? Sorry if i'm not real clear, but i'm having some problems finding out what knots to use, and how to use them on assembling the metal pieces. As for the scabbard knot, I would just like to know what its called so I can read up on it more.

The problem that's really going on it the knots the armorers used to put together the body piece. I have many picture to look at, but none form the inside. Dose anyone know of the name, or a good place I could find it at?

On another note, I did start on my cardbord template... but with this new imformation i'm restarting, than you oh so much.
