Ok as an architect I have a bit more knowledge of construction but heres my dream house...
Grass roof, with half the building biult into a mountain. Sunpipes with vents etc. to provide light to the rooms in the mountain. A helical turbine (much more efficient than a standard wind turbine, though 4 times the cost) The building that is seen would have a 2 storey glass front with a sitting room in the ground part over looking the sea with Pilkington K glass to reduce glare, the rest of the building structure would be in timber with structural supports of recycled agregate blocks with colourfull render finish.
I would have a mezzanine floor in the liounge with my bedroom on top looking out at the top portion of teh 2 storey glass front.
The rooms would be... Large living area with 60" LCD TV on a wall and a Microsoft surface table computer
I'd have a kitchen off the living room (open plan) and then to the rear a computer room, guest bedrooms and a bathroom with this rainmaker shower I would have a gym, a garage for 2 cars and a snug to listen to music in which would be a rendered tower with full 360 degrees panoramic windows for chilling out and brainstorming. I'd also have a swimming pool and a hydrotherapy pool, with steam, sauna and footspa, basically everything I use at the gym I go to at the moment.
I would have a rainwater harvesting system to flesh the bogs with, a full solar array as well as mentione dbefore a helical windturbine Low energy light bulbs as well as a resin floor with recessed iluminousmarkings as well as a obserbatory.
Of course It will be not near any towns or cities as soemtimes I just like the wild rugged copastline and mountains.
