iPod Issues

I bought a 30Gig iPod to store my entire library of music on for when I'm on campus or travelling and not at the computer. Recently I've been putting movies on the iPod for fun, but it's giving me hard times.

I list the movies as music videos so they will be sorted by artist or band under the Videos menu. If they're listed as movies they will not be sorted and it's a pain in the neck. When you list them as music videos they are automatically added to the Music tab in iTunes, which seems like a mistake. When you have music videos and music by the same band on your iPod, under the Music > Artist option you'll have two listings for the same artist that show you the same music. This is also a pain in the neck.

Is there any way I can keep my videos sorted without ruining any other part of the library?

All videos on your ipod should be listed in the videos category and not mixed in with your music, so i don't know why it is doing that.

The music videos are listed under Videos, and they're sorted properly using the sorting labels I gave them in iTunes. The artists that have music videos as well as music on my iPod are being listed twice under the Artist menu under Music.

I believe that because music videos are being listed under Music as well as Videos the artists' names are being listed twice. I've searched high and low for a way to keep that from happening.
