I was just poking through Youtube. Some of this stuff just amazes me.

Like the morons sitting out in tornadoes recording it with their smartphones. I can go back and look at tornadoes that happened just a week ago in my state and all I'm really thinking is "What the fuck is wrong with you people, get inside" but they're probably thinking "Hey, my channel might get hit like mad if I post this!"

There's some dumb hick just watching Walgreens get torn up in his car, the car gets hit with roofing and surprise he can't drive it now.

Then again, at that time I was just ninety miles away taking a two-mile stroll. I didn't even check the weather that day, but it was kinda dark and overcast.

Can it get around to chronic smartphone users and people that wear bluetooth headsets all the time a bit sooner?

People these days just walk around staring at these damn iphones and I'm waiting to see one walk under a ladder or trip on some shit or maybe step in some.

I never text while driving or play my DS while walking. Maybe because I had a childhood where my face was buried in a Game Boy all the time and was constantly told to put it away and be social. Of course, I also figured trying to multitask Tetris and a stick shift was sort of a bad idea, though i was quite talented at walking and reading a book at the same time.

Maybe I should befair to the people with the bluetooth headsets, though - they might just be schizophrenics trying to look normal. I always find it weird to see someone seemingly talking to themselves and then I see the headset

All right. Spoke with an old friend who works at a dealership about four hours north of here, and he's gonna hook me up. He is going to help me find a vehicle that is reliable and work with me to finance within my price range. I'm probably going to have to call Sallie Mae and put the student loans on hold, though, but I need a reliable vehicle in order to keep a job.

This isn't exactly what I wanted to do, but this is what I've got to do. I'll continue to look for another job which will cost me less in terms of travel and will also pay more.

Anyway, I'm driving up there on Saturday and when I return, I'll have something else parked outside my apartment.

I fear change. I've had Beast for seven years, and before that, my dad had him. He's got 217k miles on him and he's been my best friend for a long time. When no one else was there, Beast was. Seems dumb I guess, but that truck has been there for me. From getting married and leaving my ex-husband, to starting a new school path, to helping me raise my kids, to coming with me to Florida. The truck has heard it all from me - late night, driving home, I "confided" everything to Beast. He's been steady for me through tears, fears, and joy.

I'm going to miss that truck. But I knew it was inevitable.

I'm torn.

What would you guys do in this situation?

Texted my friend yesterday, gave the whole "Happy Easter" deal and then asked if he'd wanna hang out and watch the game tonight since I'm not working. This was late morning/early afternoon yesterday. I haven't heard anything back. Do I text again or just leave it. Personally, I'm pretty bored and I'd love to have someone over to hang out with me so I can like stop being Ms. Lonely here but I don't want to seem pushy because apparently I have a tendency to come across that way.

And yes, this is the friend I slept with, but I'm not even hinting at that - I mean if it happens, okay, whatever - but really I know that he is a fan of the Lightning and I'm a fan of the Pens and it would be a friendly sports competition type fun evening hanging out and having a few cold ones. Would you guy folks think that by asking, I was asking/hinting at more? And would you be inclined to stay away? And should I text him again and ask him what's up?

As of now, I plan to text him tomorrow to ask if we're still gonna get lunch on Wednesday, as we were already doing that before all this shizzbang happened between me and the other guy and shit got all turned on its ear. Anyway. Thoughts? Not really sure what to do but I do know that I want him to come hang out, but I don't want him to think I'm trying too hard or pushing for something that I'm not.
