Just kinda wanted to share that I have lost a ton of weight. This fact is more or less only now hitting me and sinking in.

This fact is only now hitting me because I am now wearing size 32 waist pants. This is exciting, scary, and somewhat infuriating. Exciting because hey, I'm losing weight and trimming up quite nicely. Scary because I haven't been in a size 32 pair of pants since I was 17ish, and I think I weigh less now then I did at 18, mostly due to lost muscle mass. Infuriating because I thought I was not going to drop below a size 34 waist, and now I have to spend about $200+ in various new pants, at roughly $40ish per pair.

Weight-wise, it's been a long road. At my peak weight that I weighed myself at, I weighed 243 lbs. I couldn't stand to weigh myself after that, and I'm pretty darn sure that I broke the 250 lbs barrier. I have since gone from 240ish pounds and size 38 pants, to 173 pounds and size 32 pants. That's 70-80 freaking pounds of FAT that I have gotten rid of. It seems so surreal to me, sitting at my desk typing this to realise just how obese I was. Oh, and I will say that not only have I gotten rid of all of that fat, but I have kept it off. BOOYA baby!

The funny thing was I never thought of myself as obese. Fat and overweight yes, but obese? Heck no! I wasn't obese, those other people over THERE are obese, but not me. As I said, it's strange that I'm only now realising this.

It's kinda funny, I'm doing alot of things I wouldn't normally do just for the heck of it. I'm running up three flights of stairs at work, taking the steps two at a time just for the heck of it and I'm not terribly winded when I get to the top. I'm running the 100 some-odd-yards up the driveway to go get the mail and just a host of other stuff. My outlook is better, my health is better, the world is just better and I'm just happier all around!

I'm also now working out to regain all of my lost muscle mass, and it's actually kind of fun. Some of my muscles that I haven't used in ages are kinda sore and stiff, but it's a good kind of sore and stiff at the same time.

I'm kinda half tempted to write a book on weight loss and see if I can sell it

Also half tempted to post pics, but then people would know that I'm not a mithra :/

Good for you Vyuru! That is indeed an incredible feat! My whole house is currently dieting. My husband got up to 263 lbs and had to have the socket for his prosthetic leg remade. Now this one is getting too tight and he demands that he's not getting it made bigger. My son lost like 80 lbs and then gained 2/3's of it back. >< I tried to tell them both that they needed to stop eating this or that (like an entire frozen pizza or 1/2 of loaf of garlic bread with cheese and 2 heaping plates of spaghetti) but they just wouldn't listen and now they are crying the blues about being hungry. /sigh

So give yourself a huge pat on the back from me because you deserve it! And keep it off or I will hunt you down and chastise you!
