You know, whenever I see TGM say anything about her husband, it's either a classy prosthesis joke, or it's complaining about how he controls the funds and everything (though to be fair, if TGM controlled the funds, they'd probably find their way over to Japan in a heartbeat for some collectible junk . . . ).

Kinda reminds me of a poem about a woman fantasizing about being some cats . . .

Can anyone explain why there are so many Japanese shooting ranges/gun clubs in Honolulu? When I was there they kept handing out fliers for gun ranges that were mostly written in Kanji.

Hi Caspian, welcome to two months ago. I'm in Tokyo.

The joke is "Everybody here thinks of Hawaii and America as distinctly separate entities, moreso than China and Hong Kong". I've literally seen lists of countries with separate entries for America and Hawaii. The bit that really amuses me is that many of these places don't list the territories, which means Hawaii is more of a country than Puerto Rico. Enjoy that, Army.

Can anyone explain why there are so many Japanese shooting ranges/gun clubs in Honolulu?

Guessing it's a combination of three factors:
1- Lots of Japanese people in Hawaii
2- Lots of Japanese tourism to Hawaii
3- Gun laws in Japan are incredibly restrictive to the point where most people have zero contact with them, as opposed to the average American who, even if they don't personally own a gun, probably know someone who does and have seen it.

Combine "tourism" with "illegal in your native land", and Hawaii is probably the Amsterdam of shooting shit.
